i know enough about the forbidden city to understand why the Chinese man being arrested would choose a location symbolic of dynastic power to air his grievances about the government at a time when thousands of national and international tourists would be there to witness it. as for insulting your country, i mean no offense. i was just witnessing what happened. any shame belongs to the leaders of government that refuse to allow freedom of expression among their own people, thanks.

thanks for your comment, and sorry for my word in my previous comment. As for what happened twenty years ago, I would say it was a tragic and shame in the history of our country. However, I believe it is right revolution occured in a bad time. There was a long story behind this event. Instead of arguing these based a piece of video or one or two articles, u need to go to this country. What we expect might be different from you guys may think. We are improving, slow but steady.

Genetics...we are strong taller and bigger than a chinese mainlander. Even the Japanese are much taller. When I vacation in Mexico, I tower over everybody...and I found out why...it's what you eat. Japanese have no problems drinking milk but in china is different. I think the average height of a chinese dude is like 5'5" - Japanese and Canadians....were averaging about 5'10" and growing. I'm now shorter than the younger generation canadians who are now approaching 6' - even canadian women now.

It's not possible to compare Canadians with the Chinese. We are heavier and FAR more taller than any chinese dude. I don't know who the Shandong person's are but I can tell you that I am taller than 95% of chinese immigrants who come to Canada and the same can be said or the average Canadian. Re women...our women are TALLER than about 70% of chinese men. I'm going purely on observation. In Mexico - again, they appear to have the same height disadvantage as chinese.
