Now to the real deal; THE MUSIC! This album is great, but different compared to ealier works of Dissection. I only have one downside and that would be: "Internal Fire" is a good track, but not as good as the rest. This is just an opinion, so you're allowed to say it's faulty. ;-)

Lucifer became another name for the Devil just because Christians wanted to erase every other religion so theirs could be expanded.

Even if there are some 3/4 measures, and black vocals (grim), there are typical death song elements : low riffs with rythm alternate, mid tempo viewing the Snare and bass drum play.
Overmore, there is no black metal typical atmosphere made with minor triads (and dissonances).
It could has been called blackened death metal (like it's been done for some Graveworm song) if, at least, it had been done in this aim.
But I don't think so.
I think it's really wished and thought death metal.

I second this but then again, this particular song was by far their most "commercial" effort, with a much more accessible song structure and even a pretty distinct melody. It's not typical for this band.
