  • Oh gawd where did this end up DX

I wish this was made it to the final cut ^^

  • Steve: "Thank god I live in a cartoon."

  • MacFarlane should've stayed in this direction instead of the crap he eventually gave us.

  • Wow this somehow unlocked memories deep inside from long ago. This short I have seen before when I was young. I can't believe that all those years of watching Family Guy and CN before that I never remembered this.

  • When I saw the first few seconds it sparked I recall seeing this so many years ago

  • @Msbluerode45 thats cus it is peter.

  • i can litterally count the pixels

  • its funny steve looks like scooby doo and at 0:29 theres shaggy

  • larry sounds just like peter

  • @DreamTrinity I somehow remember too lol. Strange...

  • It never piked up?

  • "My goodness, Ricky, look what you've done!"

Also, the shop assistant lady's clothes reminds me of Meg's.

  • "Well, now, STEWIE's usually has good stuff."

    Mmhmm.

  • Yellow Redneck Mustard?

  • I remember it, but I didn't know this was from the family guy!

  • Comment removed

  • Quagmire!

  • ....HOW DO I REMEMBER THIS.

  • whoa I remember this. I miss this cartoon network.

  • If they had only picked this cartoon up instead of sheep in the big city

  • @lovelytyrakhloe shit, I accidently disliked your comment instead of liked. Sorry. xD

  • RIP headphones users at the begining

  • I fucking remember this.

  • I remember this.

  • 2:13 "Stewie's is usually a good place to shop" I see what he did there...

  • Hey what is that melody at the beginning and end?... I seem to remember it from some cartoon I used to watch but I can't remember which one.

  • @Altair8801 What a cartoon, it was a showcase of rarer cartoons on cartoon network. It is not shown anymore.

  • Wait, how did this get cancel but not Sheep in the City??

  • I remember watching this! I never ever even made the correlation!

  • thank goodness this didnt get picked up

  • @firestorm1579 Yeah, thank God. Family Guy would have been funny.

  • @UkeFoxx Agree to disagree

  • I really remember this when I was little. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays! Classic.

  • This is hilarious! How was this never picked up?

  • Parallels Family Guy, Pilot character. Quahmeyer a pilot, Steve, a dog more intelligent than his owner.

Not Family Guy at all but an obvious set of characters retained by McFarlan. Glad he kept the formula and added Stewie to the mix.

  • The pilot looks like quagmire

  • Ha

  • lol i remember seeing this on tv

  • Just because this has Seth Mcfarlin, it doesn't mean it's a family guy pilot. This was a one time thing on an old cartoon network show full of these kinds of things.

  • HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW.......

  • i like this better than family guy

  • this looks more like looney tunes like family guy

  • Comment removed

  • i remember seeing this but didn't think it was family guy pilot

  • @IVIaiko it wasn't.

  • @wgarrett1889 how are you going to tell me what i saw on tv. This video was on tv if you meant the show i know this was only one episode.

  • @IVIaiko Not what I meant. The show did a bunch of one time shorts, airing on sunday mornings on Cartoon Network in 1995-1998. This was one short, using Seth Mcfarlain as most of the male voice actors. It was how he got noticed, but it wasn't the family guy pilot.

  • i like how people are saying this is original, when it just screams of every cartoon of the early 90's

  • i remember this its so old

  • I love how quagmire is the pilot.... It sorta verifies that this is legit shit.

  • I saw this back in the day and I loved it :)

  • i used to love this show! i miss my childhood lol

  • o__________o *mind blown*

  • this is not suppose to be family guy, the first pilot was more like family guy than this

  • wtf Cartoon Network

  • holy crap i remember this!!! lmao all the people in their 20's are having vivid flashbacks.

  • I remember! It's all so clear now......

  • I REMEMBER LARRY AND STEVE!

  • Lol. A Family Guy pilot on Cartoon Network pitched as a children's show...it changed alot.

  • STEWIES! usually has good stuff STEWIES! 2:12

  • does anyone wonder how much all this cost to repair? 5:34

  • This wasn't the pilot, just the precursor to present day FG. Seth did a short for CN and the characters were the basis for FG.

  • What a cartoon was a awesome tv program of 90's that showed lot's of good shorts. Unfortunatelly it was the last.

  • Holy Shite! I ferakin' remember this! I knew Family Guy was Related to this because of the voices! God's speed Seth. God's speed!

  • @SamsComixCo "God's speed"? It's Godspeed... What the fuck would "God's speed" even mean? You should really know the meaning of what you're saying...

  • @SteveJawbs Who really knows the meaning of "Godspeed," either? They would probably mean the same thing if they had a meaning that everyone knew.

  • @HarryBillyBobGeorge I'm guessing you're new to the internet; let me give you a tip. There's this mystical website called Google, where if you ask it a question, it'll direct you to where you can find the answer! And believe it or not, this "Google" has all the answers known to man, including the definition of "Godspeed"!

So go on down to Google, type in "Godspeed definition" and you'll find your answer.

Second tip: don't assume everyone is as uninformed and illiterate as yourself.

  • @SteveJawbs You must be very experienced on the internet, because you're a self-righteous troll, who reads something and takes it literally.

And calling ME illiterate? So googling everything you don't know makes you literate? It just makes you dependant on technology. Here's a tip. Learn stuff in school, don't fight people who don't know what you claim to know, and stop pretending to be better than everyone else.

  • OK, what was that seriously?

  • You fucking bitch

  • wow, I actually remember this..

  • I remember this!

  • Much better then those modern cartoon shows.

  • hm..back when it was rated Y7...

  • Technically this is not a Family Guy pilot.

  • WHY IS THIS STILL NOT ON CARTOON NETWORK?!

  • @VoicesofFrank Seth McFarlane's a little busy for that..

  • Family Guy for kids

  • ahh the old cartoon when u see it in the corner that origanl block checkers letter u can tell it was great material

  • This is actually funnier than Family Guy.

  • @Nanaman12345

    No.

  • @fuckenps3 Yes.

This is original, Family Guy isn't.

  • @SteveJawbs

    I couldn't give a fuck what's original, this shit ain't funny.

  • @Nanaman12345 if you're mentally retarded

  • @chewonthisss Says the guy who loves a show made up of referencing other things.

  • 6:12 QUAGMIRE?!

  • Mmmm.. yellow redneck mustard!!

  • Whoah, I remember seeing the part with the lamp one time a very long time ago.

  • They used that "opy" joke in Family Guy and did anyone else notice that he called one of those stores "Stewie's"

  • oh wow. I can barely remember actually seeing this particular episode in like, 97 or 98 when I was 5 or so. Didn't know it was supposed to be Family Guy

  • This was not a pilot this was an updated version of the Seth's RISD graduate film. Later when he became an animator for Cartoon Network they gave him a shot at producing it. Some of these characters were the start of what became Family Guy.

  • So....that explains why the chicken wants to kill Peter...he was responsible for trashing his house...lol.

  • Where to shop, where to shop...

    Stewie's usually has good stuff..

    me-> :D

  • Holy crap! I remember this! I miss "What A Cartoon!"

  • The way Family Guy is now, this cartoon should have gotten picked up.

  • @EWil313 Yeah Family Guy has gotten pretty terrible.

  • "What a cartoon" is not the title of this particular cartoon , it was a file lot of shorts cartoon net work would run sine time in the evening , it grew to a certain point till there were to many , so the had finally you wouldn't believe , they had kid call in toll free , and vote on the best ones , THUS , DEXTERS LABORATORY, JOHNNY BROVO, TWO STUPID DOGS , COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG, COW AND CHICKEN , AND I CAN'T REMEMBER ANY MORE , BUT THEY CAME ABOUT *!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!?!*!?!?!

  • @TheBlackCladPrincess i know what "meet your maker" means. i just didnt know "maker" was what he said.

  • @darkchaos989 It is for the voices @7:04.

  • OMG, i remember watching this as a kid, never new it was related to family guy

  • Had no idea Seth had been at it quite this long.

  • @kurisu7885 He started writing in his teens. He was also one of the writers for Johnny Bravo and Courage the Cowardly Dog.

  • @bobkelso4245 I didn't know that! I LEARNED SOMETHING :D :D :D

  • @myocardialinfacrtion In an interview once I heard him talk about how when he was like 17 and showed up in the writer's room at hanna barbera everyone in the room was kind of looking at him like "who the hell is this kid?" Little did they know, it was their boss.

  • If only we could've stopped them before it was too late...

  • This is actually funny I must admit

  • euthanasia= youth in asia

  • @MrPhane1 You know euthanasia is when a government kills off sick people to save money from healthcare, like hitler did. Just had to clear that up
