One of the few songs that really says something: we grow up believing there are heroes and protectors around us, but discover when we grow up that 'the world will never see' them. The Due South clips are a fine touch. Robinturner3, sorry to counter you, but during my last trip to England, I found women as unwilling to have men holding doors open for them as they have become in Canada. Or maybe they're all presciently waiting for Superman to reappear.
o my gosh. Due South is finally back on TV! On CMT and another channel. I'm so thankful. Although its starting to feel like a long time for a new tv series based on the mounties to premier.
this song isnt really called "the superman song" it has a different name my brother found it out when he bought the cd he couldnt find it but he listened to it and found it by listening to it
@robinturner3 Yes, holding doors open for ladies; certainly. But just for ladies, not mere women; though I hold the door open behind me for anyone close to reaching it. But as one is not automatically a gentleman by virtue of being male, one is not automatically a lady by virtue of being female; it's a sexist, anti-male attitude to think otherwise. And to hell with misandry, and white-knighting, and being a chump. Chivalry is largely misplaced, nowadays, and as such, ought to die out, ASAP.
No Leslie Nielsen didn´t play the ghost :) That was George Pinsent :) But yes you are right, leslie nielsen was good in this show, on those few episodes where he turned up.
They do suffer from then, and worse! They have bad social pressure aswell, much worse than us! In on country 98% of the women are circumsized, they dress in fur in the deserts just to prove they have money. People everywhere experience pressure!
it wasn't all that great of a video in the first place. This is much better, it goes back to the episode where Fraser was trying to catch his fathers killer, and on the show they played this song..... superman...Frasers father.
That show was better than Top of the Pops for showcasing good music. I got into CTD, Sarah McLachlan, Holly Cole & a few others. Beautiful song, great show! lol
i got to agree on this one, a fantastic and touching song set back against one of the most entertaining shows of the last 20 years, a great show and inspired combo, good health to all who read this ;O)
Thank You Kindly--much appreciate, much obliged. thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us, and playing this video clip of my long missed favorite show. it played perfectly with each scene, espcially with the last clip of Frasier. I didn't realize how much I've missed him, till just now. I wish they'd bring him back. ;)
Aww, Turnbull's my hero, too! *loves* I love the way Bob and Caroline's steps match the beat of the song; very nice! Extra points for including my favourite clip of Fraser ever (the last one, from One Good Man). :)
Lovely vid. Very apt song and i liked the way you matched the clips to the words! there aren't enough Turnbull vids out there!! Yay, really really liked it! Good job! :)
There was a live version of this in the other side of 'mmmmmmmmm'
