i think that the american versions of the grudge are a lot more scarier than the japanese. same with the ring. the americans did it more like if she came from a well, so shes all wet and wrinkly. it gives it more of a "terrifying" look. but the japanese didnt put so much heart into it. the locker looks good. :) and the ending really freaked me out!! :s

what i am struck by watching several jhorror movies is the underlying fear/loathing of women that seems evident.in cases where a woman is divorced the man is seen as rational, the woman unstable.I am not sure what to make of this.WOmen are victims in american cinema, sure, but does anyone else feel a sort of deep seated hatred or dread about women here?

Having just got into J-horror films, Ju-on is undoubtably the best and scariest horror movie I have seen. Truly amazing stuff.

actually, if ya see the movie (that is creepy as hell) a boy first stretched himself then died of it. I swear, after that movie, I creeped out every time i saw a swirl...XD

I LOVE Junji Ito's horror stories. The manga made me TERRIFIED of spirals.
