people cant even express their right to peaceful protesting, its sad that people who question over inflated oil prices get charged with being treasonous
Incredibly Powerful Message. You can see that Nigeria has not changed much in 10 years
It is also worth NOTING that DEMOCRACY is NOT the solution. The Democratic Regimes of OBJ until Jona is just as corrupt, if not far more, than the military regimes before it. Until we address the problem of corruption in the heart, we are just joking.
@jednutty Nigeria, like any other nation-state does not need a political system, what we need is BENEVOLENCE, HUMANITY, COMMON SENSE. Democracy is the illusion that people have a choice when truly it does not matter whether or not they vote because the real powers belong to the elites and the Establishment!
The concept of nationhood itself shifts the attention from the PEOPLE to an ideological myth called a State!
@jednutty You have to open up your mind my darling... democracy is a COMPLETE ILLUSION. Nigeria has to find her own system that works, we will never and can never be like any other country. Our constant need to emulate other examples will only leave us going round in circles.
This cartoon/animation video accompanying this album shows lagbaja cataloging the good, the bad and the ugly history of motherland Nigeria as an allegory. This is classy. God bless nigeria ooo
Lagbaja casts the almost 100yr Nigerian experiment with candor reflecting the sour experiences that have shaped us and issues a warning that the old devils still loom if we fail to be vigilant.
I am ibo, grew up in lagos and i must say that Lagbaja truly is a genius,...this is one of the best musical video/drama i've ever watched and listened to which reflects what's happening in our country and even in 2010, things haven't changed,...i weep for this country....God help us.
pliz who knows the name of the lagbaja song i heard in Dec 1999 while leaving in West Makadara,Nairobi.A kenya hip hop group called KALAMASHAKA had visited Nigeria on a tour, and they where performing on a concert sponspored by Benson and Hedges..lagbaja performed in tha same concert, then there is this song he sang praising the then Nigerian Soccer Team an its Stars like Nwanko kano and Amokachi.pliz anyone who knows the name of the song?..one of the best song i hav ever heard.

Lagbaja is a legend because of this song. This was probably the most politically unstable period in Nigerian history.
I like this song. It gives me goosebumps every single time. Anyone here remembers Abacha's rule? It was hell.
