  • Alan Stang wrote an entire book on the subject. The truth is you have been educated to think otherwise. Swallowing the Party line. Name Calling: I see you have no trouble with that.

Proof: By your reasoning then, your claims are just as fallacious as mine. :)

  • What is wonderful about our perspective Democracies is that these conversations can occur, I hope that we never forget to appreciate that as peoples of our Continent shared by two great nations will always respect each other. Differences do and should continue to be the norm. Other wise neither Nation will grow nor exert it's own Identity. I am not a complete die hard Liberal. I actually liked Regan, and Bush Sr. On your last comment I agree :) Cheers Bloke

  • Mao was not Trudeau's hero. He went to China as he understood that China was a huge force (Military and Economic to come). It also showed at that time that Canada's foreign policy was not part of the USA. More over. It up staged Nixon in a hurry. The United States has never admitted that there was a western leader going to China before Nixon.

  • Let his own words of praise of Mao judge him. The is no escaping the fact that PET was a card carrying Communist Party member. He duped the public and obviously yourself included. He joined the Liberals because he seen them as the most likely to hold power. Thus enabling him to place is philosophies into the Canadian Political system.

    face it you've been had...

  • Trudeau was a socialist, not a communist. In the USA there is little difference to be seen in the two however every other first world nation sees it differently. I will admit that the Bushite Government of Canada would say Trudeau was a communist as it would discredit Canada before Harper and his puppets came to power.

Trudeau made Canada a Nation amongst Nations and I can see why that would up set some, even in this country.remember it was Nixon who labeled Trudeau first. and we know about him.

  • No Trudeau was a member of the Communist Party. He was a member long before Nixon was in office. I have proof of this. I would also contend that there is little difference between a socialist and a communist. Trudeau Neutered Canada, removing it from its status as the middle power. Typical LPC ploy, when Mulroney was PM he was called Regans puppet. The hatred of the U.S. and a complete denial of which side the bread is buttered on.

I suppose you think Obama is gold? A U.S. Trudeau?

  • Compared to Bush Jr. That would be a yes. Trudeau was never a member of any Communist Party. Because he stood up to the American White House does not make him a Communist. Our Nations are best friends and he knew that, but he also was our Prime Minister. Not an American Governor of Canada in place to serve Washington Blindly. Friends disagree as well, even in Nationhood. Does that deserve name calling. Proof, everyone has proof for what they want to believe including World Leaders
