please help me out as i really need a webcam, i follow everything step by step and i get what to do, but for some reason after downloading and installing then extracting etc. once i click finish after that = ( ????! ) it comes up with " Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) " i tryed to work it on tiny-chat (Facebook) an msn but nothing please help man. thanks<3

@FaMe901EnT If you have followed my tutorial then I can can only presume that you are using windows 7. This does not work for windows 7 or I think Vista.

I actually found out the eyetoy has a microphone in it already. When I was messing around with it in my programs, the option to use it to capture audio came up. Hope this can help some what.

i got mine working. mines the gray one (Namtai) I like it but when recording a video the quality is bad yet files are huge.what's going on? also the codecs that came with the capture software they are all old and some glitch up the cap software.

Okay, so I downloaded this WinRar thing, and it's giving me a 'cannot locate driver' message. I have the driver on my desktop, and I've tried a bunch of other tutorials, and I've gotten the same result with all of them. Any idea what could be wrong?

@LitFromTheWest I'm guessing you use a different os as I, such as Vista or Win 7. You follow different instructions to do it on win 7 and vista. I'm sure all you have to do is look up "Eye Toy Tuturial Windows Vista/Win7" on youtube you will find a few videos.

How do we know if we need this WinRar, and how do you know which one you need?

@LitFromTheWest Question 1:When you download the files (drivers) they come in a package called an archieve, rar, or zip. You can't open them like normal folders on your pc, since they are in a zip. When you wan't to get them out of a zip you must use a program called Winrar.

Question 2: If you run Windows Xp you have a system using 32 bit. You download that type. If you run Vista or Windows 7 you have a system using 64 bit, you download that type.

Don't worry, I know the problem. It only happens with vista and windows 7.

Go to update driver, but first uninstall,

@choji1212 I don't think you should just dismiss the fact that you might of made a mistake or your computer isn't good enough to say that it doesn't work on certain programs as skype. Of course, it works with skype. The problem you have is that your default webcam is showing on your screen and not eyetoy. Go to 8:10 to configure skype with it,

@PcBreacher Im pretty confident in my comp. specs. but when i went to skype in video settings, it detected the eyetoy but just showed it as a black screen, however the audio works perfectly fine. ugh also when i go to windows live messenger in advanced settings for video setup the program crashes ^^

@choji1212 okay, let me see..Do these in sequence, each step you do retry the method of working the camera.

1. Unplug any other webcam device that you have installed with your pc.

2. Make sure your Eyetoy webcam is plugged in^^ or switch it to a different port.

3. Reinstall the drivers if nothing helps.

4. Are you sure you have the latest updates for skype and msn? (If not update them)

5. It could be the Os your running(low possiblity)

@hI4kIdZ be more specific when asking questions. Do you mean when you see your self through your eyetoy it is really blurry? If so you can adjust the focus on the lense my turning the knob were the camera is as I said at 8:25 to 8:35 in the video. Hope I helped
