i race a 450hp lighting n beat with my ta 6spd headers intake he my friend it fast and very nice y ta has 140.000 n stil lrun strong he has da video but i will get a copy of it so yall can watch it :) it a gd race
@mmz77 thats no truck...thats a lightning :P. i just bought a ws6 ta but anyone that has ridden in a lightning has respect for how fast those bitches go
blacktooth11605, Well then if you do own a lightning, then you know very well that a roll race of that speed is THE WORST for a lightning. These trucks like to go 0-120mph (1/4 mile). No hard feelings but im just stating facts. I will be up to race any one at the track this spring including you. I really dont like the idea of street racing anymore. lol But yea i love the ws6's and that would have been my buy instead of the trcuk, but i wanted something a little more different.
@1slowford I know this comment is way overdue but you are right. I raced a guy going 55 mph and he inched away but when we both got off the exit we met at the light. When the light turned green he got that ass smoked!!!!!!!!!
1slowford, maybe your tune wasn't right, although it's not ethical to complain about the weight difference. I own a lightning and I don't use it as a handicap! If I wanted something light I would own a ws6. Complaining about weight is as petty as a ricer not getting gas before a race. Owning a lightning you need to know how much rwhp you need to beat a car.
Yea this is my Lightning and I had a shit tune on it at the time. Truck was taking a shit once it hit 3rd gear(85mph) so i just backed out after around 90. Now truck has a JLP tune with over 40rwhp more. Runs great and i can say that i have beating many of Ls1 cars with cam/full bolt-ons since my new tune, expecially from 0-120mph.I'm not trying to be an asshole but it is a 5000lb truck from a 45 ROLL!!
Not to be a dick, but your cousin does not know how to drive. I race my WS6 at two of the tracks here and I know what they will do. Our club has over 300 cars and the only cars that will hang with the WS6's are the vettes, vipers, and cobra's. I raced a lighting and pulled him at 40 never even had to hit the spray. Our club is strictly American muscle. Except the guy that has a ls1 in his RX7.
