I bought it 3 days ago and made $600.00 with it over the weekend. I have a lawncare service and I just called some of my wealthier clients to see if they would be interested in having their floors cleaned before the holidays.
Just so everyone knows... I bought one Friday brand new. It came with everything but the floor buffer and I got it for $1100. I know some people get them cheaper but you don't have to pay 2 or 3k for these machines. Sorry if I just cost anyone their $1400 commission.
I love this Vacuum, and I just got a job working for Kirby. Yeah yeah, I know a lot of people wouldn't want to go to folks homes, but I would! I love this vacuum, and I hope I succeed.

I absolutely love my new Sentria!! People are quick to tell you what a waste of money it is, but I'm glad I have one. It's built like a tank, and it works hard all day like a diesel truck! The shampoo attachement is amazing. Anyone who talks trash needs to use one first.

i just got a 2007 Kirby Sentria for $120.00 at a yard sale and it had ever thing and its paper work these people paid $1856.95 for it i got it for $120 yes :)
Nice vid. Besides exterior styling is there any differance between the sentria and the Ultimate G non-Diamond Edition? Or is there newer technology in the sentria as well?

Hi. WOW love your collection. Cant believe you only paid $450 for you sentria. Over here in the UK they are very expensive but are slowly becoming cheaper. A brand new sentria of kirby costs £2000 over here. As much as i love kirby i wouldn't pay that. I do intend getting one as they look great. I agree with one of ur comments about the underhand tactics of the kirby sales reps. I had a demo once when it was the G5 and i did buy it only because i was intending to and they took 3 hours.

Excellent value which includes the shampooing kit and all the attachments brand new as well as the stretch hose for free all from the actual kirby dealer :-) Great vid btw i love the sentria and my miele

I started with one near new Sentria with all attachments for $450, and 2 months later another one for $400, as carrying the one unit up & down stairs took effort.
These things are HEAVY to carry, but SWEET & EASY TO USE. Very powerful & durable! Easy to REUSE the bags too. I take em outside & shake em out into trash!

Hey Hoover1060, I am a collector as well, I always try to find vacs in good wills, thrift stores and even in the garbage but we only find ones that smoke or can no longer be used/fixed. Where do you get all of your vacs... A web page, ebay craigs, where please lemme know... thx.
The front on the vacuum IS an attachment with the brush. You take that off and attach your hose onto the nose of it. it's a bit more time consuming then to have it ready to go, but it works better then plastic vac for sure. Just don't pay more than $600 for a new one with everything made for it. 2497 is a 2000 mark up.
For those of you who didn't purchase a Kirby from a Dealer/Distributor, you're stupid. You're not going to have any warrantys or anything so if anything happens to it, they won't honor the warranty...

Noting beats the cleaning power of Kirby, nothing. Why even vacuum with a POS plastic vacuum that doesn't even clean the cartpet? We've had Dirt Devils, Eureka and Dysons, ALL have been beat terribly by the Sentria. The others just don't get all the dirt out of the carpet, even if you make 100 passes in the same spot.
You are correct! I used to sell Kirby's back in the mid 1980's we were just coming out of a recession and jobs were hard to find! I recently bought a G4, because of the plastic junk vacuums out there, I went back to the Kirby. While I don't like the high pressure sales tactics that they employ, I do like equipment quality and functionality . Kirby sucks really hard!
These vacuums are excellent. I just got the sentria, barely used and only a year old, for $400. My in-laws have a kirby vacuum and have had it for about 20 years--and have never had a problem come up with it. You pay a lot of money for them, unless you can find a used one like I did for a great price...but they last forever!

I tried one of these machines out in my local Kirby shop in Plano, TX. I was amazed at how the Sentria just glided across the carpet! To tell you the truth, I have NEVER EVER used a self-propelled Kirby in my life and I was AMAZED by the difference!

The flashing of the bulb is normal. I am a kirby dealer. I see it all the time. It works the same way that the Led for the brushroll works. If you see it as a problem call your local distributor. We stand behind our product. Unless you bought it from ebay. Then it voids the warranty. thanks for the great video. Happy Cleaning!
Sentrias will pick up AAAALLLL that dog fur and dirt on the carpet! Their the BEST! I have two cats, one dog, and a rabbit that occassionally hops around the house. And two little sisters who always track in the dirt. Those things are great! And your carpet is geouges!
It has a pretty cool headlight beam pattern with the LEDs now, but I am thinking of retrofitting a Sentria headlight board into my G5, just to see what it's like... :D
