  • Both President JFK and his brother The Senator were great men and their loss is still felt by all of us.

  • David Talbot's book BROTHERS goes into great detail about Bobby Kennedy's thoughts, feelings and actions in the days, months and years following the assassination. Bless him.

  • He looks so sad :,(

  • Such A Great,Bright,Fearless,Lustfull young man! Bless him.

  • Robert Kennedy was killed by the government.

  • He went through such a hard time after his brother died..He went through a huge depression that even Ethel had a hard time bringing him out of. Those of you who want to put him down, I can only say, that though he may have done things differently than you may have...his Heart was in the Right place. He loved this Country and it's people.

  • I could listen to Robert and John talk all day..

  • I keep singing stupid songs about this clown. I think my brain is rotting.

  • Bobby was an amazing man and a doll.

  • Screw people

This is why I hate people

    For behaving like jungle animals

No worse!! Even animals spare some

    Rip RFK

  • could you please post the whole interview?

    thanks.

  • I agree univibe23

  • He was so much like his mother. He was the most disciplined and ambitious of the boys. He was a pretty hard-nosed guy...but it's amazing how much he changed after the death of John. He didn't lose any of his ambition, but he did soften--as you can see the early evidence of in this interview. He learned empathy. I wish he would have lived to beat Nixon and become President. I certainly think he would have had he not been gunned down. How much different our country would be today.

  • @univibe23 Having lost a son myself, recently, there is nothing like the loss of a beloved person to bring about a greater empathy for the pain that others suffer. I can see when I watch RFK in this clip, that he is feeling exactly what I am feeling now.

  • @ninyae Very sorry to hear about your loss....sincerely

  • They don't make men like RFK anymore!

  • why would anyone want to assassinate this guy?

  • @vladimirobamaosama Bobby was a huge supporter of Israel. In the early 60's they bought most of their Military hardware from France. Bobby said publically that if he were elected, we would do business with Israel. Sirhan Sirhan was a Palestinian who thought that by killing RFK he would be saving future Palestinian lives and be a mayrtar, That would be a slam-dunk to have 68 virgins take care of his every desire whilst feeding him honey-dipped biscuits. A falacy that, sadly, millions share.

  • The kennedy's were amazing! may they rest in peace xx

  • to think we could of had this guy in the white house insted of Nixon

  • watching this after watching the Kennedys mini series. i think the guy portraying him did an excellent job. i was about 3 when Bobby Kennedy died, and had no memory of him.

  • @looneybun1 yup that actor did an amazing job he did bobby's accent amazingly

  • i agree. i'll never forget how my father cried.

  • Manbeastt222-i agree with you--retard bush is a screw-up c-student dumbass liar

kennedy and clinton tried to make the world a better place--and you got high-brass fat cats in D.C.--dealing in death

  • "Imagine if he had lived..."

What a telling comment. The Monument in D.C. memorializing 59K+ young men and women, would not exist today...billions of dollars would have been saved, and LBJ's cronies wouldn't have gotten $5B for dredging the Gulf of Tonkin, after the 'now debunked' firing on a US Ship.

That began one of the most divisive eras in American Politics...I'd love to hear what Nixon said on those missing taped minutes...it had to do with JFK, believe that!

  • Bobby looks kind of shy :)

  • What might have been if these great Americans had lived? How different our country would be!

  • @res57 I often think and say the exact same thing. God rest their souls.

  • I like RFK, but he seems to me the least charismatic of the three to me. Although others seem to disagree. His voice is high and weak and he didnt have the commanding presence of Ted or John. Still would have made a good president.

  • @jimmbo13 he was the least polished of the three but that's not the same as charismatic. if you look at the response they each got from crowds, there is no question robert generated the most intense and emotional following, whether it was in this country or overseas. people responded to the fact that his speeches and his actions came from the heart. as fine a president as john was, he always came across as more scripted and calculating.

  • What If......................................

  • he says "uh" too muchh

  • What would we be like today if he was president?? I remember when he died. So sad young and brave.

  • His voice was so soft and beautiful. I could listen to him speak for hours.

  • I was 20 when RFK was assassinated. Someone once said that if Bobby had become president there would be no "RAP" because the conditions which spawned it would not have existed - and I beleive it. I also beleive our involvement in Viet Nam would have ended before 1970. Dear God...what a different country this would be now! No Nixon, no Watergate; no Ford; noCarter; no Reagan, Iran-Contra, Ollie North; no Bush (either one); no Clinton; no Obama. The chain of events would have been all different

  • @Mickagume I do agree with you however let's back up to when JFK was killed, first. I was15 at that time and upon hearing this tragic news over our school's PA system and after I got over the initial shock, my firdst question, to myself, was....What are we going to do now? Many citizens felt that way, then came the assasination of Martin Luther King, Jr. then Bobby who, by the way, was my Senator. With these three great men gone HOPE went out the window.

    Would you agree?

  • @pcimmino Yes, I agree!... And, for the record: In 1968, I was a 20-year-old sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin. The day following RFK's announcement that spring that he was seeking the presidency, I founded - and began organizing - "Youth For Kennedy", which became recognized by the national campaign as the official UT campus chapter. Late May, after considerable effort, we finalized arrangements for the Senator to make an appearance in Austin... it was to be the last week of June.

  • @Mickagume WOW, that was truly quite an achievement. You must be proud of that.To clarify the meaning that Bobby was My Senator. Well he was, I am a New Yorker, i n fact when he was campaigning therough the city he came into a malt shop and had a glass of milk with a girl who later in life became my wife. At the time we did not know each other. It is just a sin that he did not make it to TX.

  • @pcimmino What a wonderfully memorable moment, pcimmino; thanks for sharing it! How I envy your wife - I never met Bobby or even saw him in person. But how he touched us all....

  • @Mickagume He certainly did, however the real tragedy here is that no individual, since then, has truly followed in his footsteps, John's, or Martin's. These fellow were true American heroes. Where are they now? As the song suggests....

  • Bobby Kennedy on Jack Paar show

  • looks like a deeply saddened man

  • @xtrmsprts You would be sad to if the people that worked under your brother killed him

  • @jumpa01 He didn't know that for sure. This wasn't the Corleone Family, lol Actually, Bobby was quick to accept the Warren Commission's view of the whole affair. But of course, Bobby was deeply disturbed from the death of his favorite person in the world.

  • @xtrmsprts He was quick to accept the WC because it bought him time. Precious time he needed to find the real killers and hopefully keep them from killing him however, I'm guessing they didn't buy it !

  • The Kennedys JFK & RFK might well be as close as the USA gets to true greatness & respect for others.

No Gun control ---sad isnt it .....

  • @sargonsrobot

Ironically, RFK gave a speech on gun control in Oregon a week before he was shot. I read that the crowd heckled him for giving the speech.

  • JFK prevented World War III. His intellect and reason kept us from nuclear war with Russia. Read your history -- he also kept us out of combat after the Bay of Pigs and on numerous other occasions (Berlin Wall, etc.) Losing RFK & JFK robbed this country and its people of grace and advancement,

  • It is sad to see a man talk about his brother's family and how they have adjusted after his assassination. A family who had gave so much to America and, now people come to this page and write little remarks about how he (JFK) was propelling us into Vietnam and making accusations after the mans death.

  • This man would have been the great President that we ever had..........!!!!!!!!!!!

    Rest in peace RFK

  • @AM2M I totally agree. I always look at presidents and think "What would Bobby do"

  • @AM2M: As a Republican, I agree.

  • @AM2M Certo. Era ancora più capace, profondo, sensibile e coraggioso del fratello John.

Andò incontro alla morte, e sapeva di andarci, con grande dignità e coraggio.

Un luminoso esempio di nobile ed alta politica. May God give him eternal glory.

  • this family lost 3 sons to america,

    the oldest died in ww2

  • @hlimkb

  • If Robert Kennedy had lived he would of been the 37th president !

  • He looks and sounds absolutely shattered.

  • May peace one day overlay the earth, and heal the world.

  • "Fear not the path of truth for the lack of people walkig on it" RFK last speech what a man he was. Today our society is corrupt and disgusting and all we do is omplain but yet do nothing about it. RFK and JFK were great men and JFK was hands down the best president of the 1900's. THe problem today isn't lack of good people but the silence of good people. Bobby is my hero for his moralality, bravery, his hardships he endured, and overall his impact on the world. Rest In Peace Bobby Jack and Ted

  • glen beck sort of kind of reminds me of jack paar.

  • he boosted the profits of the prostitute industry

  • I am a liberal repub and I love bobby!!

  • oh, he´s just lovely, so humble and shy here.

  • How soon after Dallas was this interview?

  • So damn sexy

  • I think he would've been one of the best presidents in history.

  • @dpman72 I agree with you there. If you want to find out the truth surrounding his death visit kingkennedydotcom watch the trailer for a movie made entirely from actual footage

  • I love Bobby!

  • Whenever Bobby's not actually speaking, a sadness, a deep desolation, creeps into his expression.

  • @EyeLean5280 I agree-Bobbys eyes tell everything.

  • BOBBY, SO CUTE

  • Thats right Guy....STAY CLASSY.

  • he looks kinda beaten up

  • davidaud777,

You are right and I can't imagine why anyone gave you thumbs down for simply remarking on a plainly observable truth.

He does look beat up - and why on earth wouldn't he? his brother had just been murdered in front of the entire country.

  • Thanks for this video. I have never seen this before.

  • Imagine what this country would be like if they both had lived? We saw never see their likes again and that in itself is totally ashame.

  • what he says about jack, you could say the same thing about obama

  • I can't get over how fragile the poor guy looks. According to all recollections, when Bobby was working with his brother, he was over-enthusiastic, loud, exuberant, witty, always running after Jack like a guard dog and always putting on a tough-guy persona to make up for his youth. Look at him here, he looks like he'd fall apart if someone said anything cruel to him, like he'd cry if someone asked him a more personal question about his brother. Poor, poor kid.

  • I saw that too. Just the way he's sitting...he just looks like the air has been let out of him. Understandable of course!

Yet he gave such an articulate answer about his brother. So sad.

  • He just looks racked with grief. Those closest to him said it was so great and so deep that it actually manifested itself in physical pain, as well as emotional.

  • jack paar? good god what an evolution of late shows from steve allen to jack paar, carson, Leno and now the greatest in my opinion Cooonnnan OObriiiyen!!

  • Spoken from the heart.

What a testimony about where we were and are today. The dream shall never die but we need to take an active role and not be spectators to a culture of idelness when it comes time to stand up for what we believe in. In the final analysis we have to work together with common purpose to put our country on the right course.

  • Two class acts incomparable in their respective fields.

  • there is a video on youtube that shows 3 known CIA agents at the scene of RFK's murder. He was killed just before the end of LBJ's presidency.

  • Thank you for the post.

  • I love how he talks it's so different what a great man he was.

  • what a beautiful man smile voice demeanor speech adorable God bless the womb that bore Him the spark life that gave him movement voice and breath. We lost a great many men like him and what a shame that is for the world. America has been sinking in its titanic since then god Bless the Kennedies and all the Americans and all the people of earth long live the Kings Kennedies who loved people worked to protect the poor and were sluttered because they cared just like Jesus did.

  • I saw him in Indianapolis at the Med. School. He said the medical students were benefiting from the US and owed something back..that they should do some low-income work when they graduated. I thought..this guy has guts. A week later he was dead and the US, it seems to me has gone downhill pretty much since JFK was president. Kennedy was the last pres. adored by most of the world...USSR excepted. I miss those two and can only imagine what the US might be like if they had lived. dkw

  • Incredible Man !

  • Nice Video, with a Brother remebering his Assasined Brother, with Great Warmth and Affection-The Father of Mrs.Kathie Couric-CBS 60 minutes New York-she who talked about the damages for Rescue Workers at Twin Towers-and was right about how badly handled these cases became-they did NOT get help for their Lung-Damages,and many died invain-just because they where just "rescueworkers"-That figures....Escargency Research & Rescue-Tempus Omnius Revelat-T.Kallmyr

  • God bless the Kennedy's, Irelands own.

  • LBJ killed JFK

  • That is one of many rash assumptions. The CIA, the Mafia, Castro, or did Oswald act alone? If the truth would be known, nobody would believe it anyway, because it would be considered another one of many theories.

  • You are right, Jackie saw it happen, she saw the driver and of course RFK knew too, he wanted his revenge, but was stopped 68.

  • JFK saved the World from Nuclear War, give me some evidence that he was a bad president.....

  • The Bay of Pigs was planned under Ike. Not by Ike, under Ike, by the CIA. So why JFK deserves the blame is beyond me.

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU!!!! All JFK did was raise the number of troops, then he realized that Vietnam was hoples after a few months when his administration promised results within those months, and there was no progress at all. He then planned to begin the withdrawal starting January 1964. Then hewas assassinated. Vietnam = CIA and Johnson's fault. "Hey LBJ, how many boys have you killed today?"

  • The arms people are the obvious culprits, but what about the view that he was killed bec he "wouldn't let Israel have nukes"?

  • Do you think Israel had something to do with the assassination? Wow, now it's pretty much impossable to understand what happened that day in Dallas. ANYONE could have been the culprit or at least involed in some matter. I don't personally think Israel was the MAIN mastermind behind his death, but yes, it is very possable that they were somehow involved.

  • did you read the FINAL JUDGEMENT by MC Piper?

  • Everyone's got a pet theory.

The fact is we just don't know for sure and probably never will.

  • The worst thing JFK ever did was cheat on his wife, THAT'S IT. Now, don't get mw wrong, I'm not saying that that is a good or excusable thing, but even Clinton did it, and he ended uo one of the best presidents in a long time. JFK Saved the world from nuclear destruction, stabiliazed and imoroved the economy, stared down the Soviets, and helped the poor. A great president indeed. Imagine if fhe had lived....

  • don't forget his cabinet. one of the best ever put together

  • If a man will lie to his wife he will lie to his nation. Character counts and sadly the Kennedys had little of it. The only reason the Cuban Missile Crisis happened is because of JFK's debacle at the Bay of Pigs. Khrushchev was emboldened by it. JFK's conservative fiscal policies, I grant you, were effective. Today's Democrats could learn a lot from that.

  • Actually, it was Bobby who saved the world from nuclear destruction (assuming you're talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis.)

  • Yes, I was talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis, and I never said that RFK didn't do anything whatsoever. What Bobby did was PROVE that he could be involved in such discussions/situations. He told the other advisors what e thought they should do, just like the others. In the end, it was mainly JFK with the help of EX-COMM who brought a swift end to the crisis. Whether the rumers of the U.S. removing missiles from Turkey are true or not, at least a nuclear war was evaded. But RFK did contribute

  • He contributed the diplomatic solution. That's pretty damn major.

And as for JFK, his actions, beginning with Bay of Pigs, precipitated the crisis, so in my view, his sheet just balances out (at best) and Bobby comes out ahead.

  • @Manbeast222 revisionism, he was in Texas because his poll numbers had plummeted and he was afraid that Barry Goldwater was gaining ground, assassination saved his "legacy", had he lived he would have presided over hte Vietnam war he made inevitable.

  • @Speegs23

"he would have presided over the Vietnam war he made inevitable" Nope, there are recorded meetings of JFK with his Republican Sec. of Defense Mcnamara discussing how to most effectively pull out American troops of Vietnam.

    Not revisionism, just reality.

  • @jfkpublicservant the reality is everyone that got the ball of war going was there minus the chief instigator himself, JFK, now those are the stubborn facts of reality.

In fact they felt obligated to escalate JFK's doings.

  • Comment removed

  • ....May I offer you some friendly advice...Intead of saying that Kennedy ended up being one of the best presidents in a long time.......Change that to he ended up being one of the best presidents EVER!

  • @Manbeast222 i mangine he had lived i know it would be great but he would already be dead he would be 96

  • @TheCodmw2rocks Of course he would be, that's not the point, the point is of what he would have done for the country if he would have lived longer. Honestly, with his health, we hould have died at 65 :P

  • @Manbeast222 how would u know if he had lived and died at 65

  • @TheCodmw2rocks 94 this year I think, but I take your point.

  • @Manbeast222 whatever JFK or any president does in the bed (or outside of it -wink-) should always be between he and his wife. thats why while the entire cabinet was trying to impeach Clinton for getting a blowjob under his desk, no one wanted to impeach a mongrel like Bush who lied to the world for the dagger under his tongue.? same concept, years later and the real damage (not whats on the bed mind you) goes on.

  • @Manbeast222 reason is; When a president gives the entire world a "snow job" (like Bush certainly did) the owners of this country applaud. but when a president gets a "blow job" (like Bill did) it becomes the pathetic excuse to get rid of a man who is interfering with the owners plans. Of course, President Kennedy was a more effective President and we all know what occured:((( ; We have lost our country to "snow jobs" and have accepted them like "blow jobs".

  • @Manbeast222 still.....it would suck to be his wife.

  • @Manbeast222 Clinton was not a good president. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time when the feds were printing a lot of money and the bubble created by the pyramid scheme hadn't popped yet. Clinton had no morals and didn't give two shit about the people.

JFK on the other hand was a real American patriot. He wanted to end the federal reserve and give currency back to the treasury and that was ultimately what killed him. You don't mess with the banks.

  • @Manbeast222 agreed judge the man on his public decisions, not on his private life

  • God you can see the sadness in his eyes

  • I agree. He looks like he is still shaken up after his brother's assassination. I know it's hard, but at least, a person can look deep down inside that there will always be another day to fight, to survive.

  • I felt tears when he talked about Ted telling the children stories after work and the guy who would come over and have lunch with them.

  • Incidentally, this was NOT a segment from Paar's late night show- this is from his Friday night prime-time series, "THE JACK PAAR PROGRAM"....and it was originally telecast in color. Only the black & white "kinnie" exists.

  • as in "kinoscope", what that means for the uninitiated is that someone filmed a television monitor of the original broadcast off from a monitor, thus the stations who did not have colour video set-ups in those days (WHICH WERE RARE AND EXPENSIVE) could have a recording to air at a later date or be repeated, and in 1964 America there were far more Black and White Tele's than Colour.

RIP Bobby and Jack Kennedy, and now Jack Paar too is gone.

    :(

  • We don't know about Chappaquaddick and what role Pres. Nixon played in it -- see the John Dean comments on the White House tapes -- or what role Howard Hunt may have played.

Hundreds of witnesses to the JFK assassination have themselves been assassinated and Ted Kennedy suffered near death soon after in a plane crash.

  • I loved the Kennedys. They believed in less government, less taxes, strong military, anti-communist. They were good, solid Democrats, unlike Democrats today: socialists.

  • Less government? Dear god, where have you been all these years the Republicans have been in control. And how the hell do you think we are going to pay for Bush's occupation of Iraq? Tax rates will be skyrocketing in the near future because of his little "misadventure". And while it may be fun for you to say, today's Democrats are hardly socialist. They are little carbon copies of their criminal Republican brethren. Please. Give up Fox News and right wing talk radio.

  • I agree that today's Repubs have not been stellar on the "less government" creed; having said that, the two Dem candidates want even more gov't intervention than what presently exists today (nat'lzd health care, education, etc.) At some point this country has to stop thinking in the entitlement mentality and get back to the opportunity mentality.

  • Nothing wrong with socialism you idiots......god, go learn something about our government.

  • When you call people names in the name of your cause, then you are hurting your cause. If I were a socialist, then I would not vote for you to represent me.

  • @rodyshusband Well put. Democrats need to man up. The Kennedys (with the exception of Teddy) would be considered Conservative Democrats today, which is what this country needs. No extreme Liberal values. Too much of something could never be very good....

  • @Manbeast222 More accurate to say the conservatives of that era would be considered liberal Republicans today. The extremists have taken over the right wing. Obama is a centrist president, like it or not. But he has a darker skin tone than past presidents and an ethnic name, so a lot of fools think he's an extremist.

  • God bless him.

  • RIP Bobby...

  • deejaybee you best do more significant research to understand what the Kennedy brothers did for the world and humankind...and if you compare them with world leaders today you will find they are giants...George Bush couldn't share the same stage with either John or Robert without being laughed off...

  • It is intriguing that after MLK's death and the death of his brother that so many people placed their hopes and chance for survival on the success of RFK's election as President. He was truely the lesser of two evils for many people at that time, which is usually how people can best choose sides. Take any war or rivalry or showdown, it's almost always a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.

  • shadow, what about Teddy ? He drove a girl off a bridge in Chappaquidick and never spent a day in jail. He didnt report the "accident" till the next day. What a guy. Bush would be a better man than Ted, huh ?

  • k3304 where in my comment do you find any reference to anyone other than John or Robert. But now that you mention it I do believe that Teddy would be better than W without breaking a sweat. If I recall correctly Georgie Boy was also driving drunk in addition to snorting some white powder up his nose. Only for by the grace of God did he not kill someone, of if he did Papa and friends covered it well as they did his many other failures.

  • No...Bush contracted weapons dealers to sell more weapons to our government to start a war to get oil and refinance weapons manufacturers...IT IS BIGGER THAN YOU EVER IMAGINED.....ALL A LIE..

  • They were not perfect men. They weren't saints. But they had serious care for their country and the world they lived in. They were both ambitious, and irresponsible at times, but they were postively effective as public officials.

  • "My brother need not be idealized, or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life; to be remembered simply as a good and decent man, who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it."

    Ted Kennedy (Eulogy to Robert)

  • He would have been president if he hadn't been killed.

  • Visit HyannisNews<dot>com for local news. HyannisNews<dot>com covers Hyannis and Hyannis Port, including the Kennedy Compound...

  • Thank you so much for putting this up. He is my life's hero.

  • My mate Chris Murray likes Bobby. And so do i.
