  • I remember seeing this segment recently and thinking "Wait, that can't be?" Football head, that hair... God, it's him from NICK!

  • No Audio???

  • @LeoKasper426 There's audio.

  • wow

  • I saw this on Sesame Street back in the day, and freaked the fuck out because I knew it was Arnold and wondered why he was on PBS.

  • dude is so blazed

  • Creator of Arnold (Sesame Street claymation & Nick Nicktoon), animator & producer for Henson (Sesame Street [before '01] & Dinosaur Train [now]), animator for Pee-Wee's Playhouse (ex: the Penny shorts), writer for Rugrats (original seasons with Paul Germain), & husband to Lisa Groening, Lisa Simpson's inspiration (with him as her Millhouse) & the one who came up with Helga's obsession, whilst her father Homer--yes that Homer, who inspired the cartoon character--composed the claymation's score.

  • @Skarlis ME TOO! I thought I was crazy but I knew I had seen him before espcially his football head

  • HEY ARNOLD Was On Sesame Street & Nickelodeon! :D

  • @funkycomposer: Because Craig animated for & now creatively produces for the Hensons. It also why his wife's chariactured cartoon family (the Simpsons) and Paul Ruebens/Pee Wee Herman (whose show Craig animated for, alongisde Mark Mothersbaraugh--compsor for Rugrats, for whom Craig also wrote--composing the music) appeared also on Sesame Street in the Monster in the Mirror & Put Down the Duckie celebrity editions.

  • @Cuteblondchick72 Yep, and so was Courage the Cowardly Dog "Noodles and Nedd"

  • lmao, the narrator sounds like the voice of Yami Yugi on LittleKuriboh's "Yu-gi-oh: The Abriged Series" XD

  • I'm so fucking high right now, and this is the best video I've ever seen.

  • I never knew Arnold was on Sesame Street.

  • who knew. i remember watching this probably around 1990-1992 or something when i was 6 or 7 . who knew this clay character would be huge years later.

  • Haha! I caught this years ago when I was flipping through channels and came across an old episode of Sesame St. It was during the time when Hey Arnold was big, and one of my favorite cartoons, so I was like..."Hey! ... Arnold!" (sorry for the bad joke :P)

  • I remember walking into my aunt's room and my little brother was watching the tv. I looked at it and I saw Arnold.

I immediately said WHAT THE FUCK. I caught this around '01

  • The music sort of sounds like the 'Jaws' theme song.

  • Haha, cool!

  • arnold was creepy back ten lol

  • Hahaha... move out, Football Head.

  • It is very very important to me to find out what the classical music in the background is. Somebody, anybody, please help me. I love the marching music in the background. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • Oh snap! I remember him but I didn't realize he was from Hey Arnold at the time

  • HEY ARNOLD!!!!

  • Wow I remember this. Arnold's big break.

  • That was some good imagining, Arnold. Now, try to imagine Helga's not stalking you. That would be nice, wouldn't it?

  • @wickedfeylady I'll say. This is cool though.

  • why did arnold not talk?

  • where the heck is Helga? LOL!

  • Hey Arnold! was created by Craig Bartlett and is based on his comics starring Arnold, which he created in 1986. Using the Will Vinton facilities Walkabout Program (a student production lab), Craig Bartlett created his Arnold Escapes From Church short film which later generated two more clay-animated short films, The Arnold Waltz (1990) and Arnold Rides a Chair (1991) which eventually aired on an early-1990s episode of Sesame Street.

  • I always thought this was a rip off. Who would have thought that the original clay animated Hey Arnold cartoon would have wound up on Sesame Street.

  • I saw this a thousand times when i was 5 and 6. I watched Hey Arnold a thousand times when I was 9 and 10. Now I finally see the connection at age 20. Wow.

  • I hear rumors that Arnold's last name is "Shortman"

  • I can proudly say this largely inspired the first animation i ever made... excellent little clip

  • i saw this a couple of dayz ago and it triped the fuck outa me

i was like which ones the original this one or the the nick one lol

  • Oh shit, I remember seeing this when I was a little kid but forgot about it. I never would have guessed that this was Arnold from Nick. Hey

  • i remeber these shorts

  • wtf? he was on Sesame Street in 1990?! o_O I never knew

  • funky

  • I remember seeing this loads of times on 'Sesame Street' (they used to use the same clips quite a lot). Years later when the cartoon started here in the UK I was like "...oh yeah, I know him from somewhere". I'm not sure, but I think there's also a second short like this, that also appeared on Sesame Street.

  • ru serious? wow. to think a whole show came from another one.

  • Yup.This is from 1990.Hey Arnold first appeared in 1996.

  • Yeah i was wondering that if this was one before the show on Nickalodean. I wonder if Nickalodeon got the idea from this sketch just like Family Matters from Perfect Strangers or The Jeffersons from All in the Family and The Simpsons from the Tracy Ullman Show.

  • Wow what a long incoherent post, all you had to do was look up the word Spin-off.

  • Actually, Craig Bartlett created this claymation and Hey Arnold!

  • yea i remeber this b/c my little sister was watchin it and i was like wtf?omg.lol.i thought Sesame Street hasd signed a deal w/Nick and used him i didnt kno that this was before Nick.

  • what came first? this or Hey Arnold the show?

  • This.

  • I remember this! Yep, back in the day. :)

  • OMG, I remember this. I totally forgot about this segment & that he was on Sesame Street. I remember hearing somewhere that he was claymation before he was a cartoon, but I forgot that I've seen this before.

  • He's more like a Nickelodeon Character.

  • This is AWESOME!!! I love Hey Arnold man!! I remember this!!!

  • OMG, where did u find this?

  • I got it off the "Imagine That!" dvd.

  • I actually remember this..... It's so OLD!
