Got this a few weeks ago and combined with me, it does not fail! My first camera of this kind and I love it! For Christmas I will hopefully be getting the telephoto lens and flash!
About half way through this video I was thinking this isn't a dslr so I'm not too keen on it but when it showed the focus points on the video mode I was loving it, does anybody know if there is a lense that u can use to make this cam more like a dslr ...? X
I enjoy using Panasonic digital camera's, as I enjoy having the advantage of taking pictures & good quality video's, especially the sound. I love recording live music & band's antics & movement on stage, but I am now looking for an upgrade to a G2 from a panasonic TZ8 but again I have noticed when the zoom was used for a close up on the subject, it does not focus immediately & has to adjust from being blurry.... this is so frustrating. Any other suggestions to the predecessor G2 please?

@aeroxtreme15 Ya it is compatible with any micro four thirds lens out of the box, and if you want to put on a full size lens, Panasonic sells an adapter to allow you to do that.
AVCHD lite !!! what a pain in the rear codec make sure your video editing software will handle AVCHD lite, AVCHD is not to bad but with the lite on the end.......no thanks
Got one of these for my 18th birthday. It's bloody brilliant! The quality of the pictures and videos are brilliant and the touch-screen makes everything a lot easier.
The only thing I don't like about it (And this is mainly my problem) is all the little buttons and dials on it. I don't mind them being there, but moving from a little digital camera to this is a big leap and it's mighty confusing for me XD But I just need to look into it and it'll be fine =)

All my old manual focus Canon and Pentax lenses have just been raised from the dead. Fotodiox makes adapters for all these lenses for this micro 4/3 system. This is the biggest camera design change I have seen. Talk about versatility.
This will be the system of the future, only the purist will stick at the conventional mirrorreflex cams. I for one will be happy to replace mine for one of these camera's once more glass is available (like a 400mm for instance). Just think about following a bird in flight but not having to worry about going out of focus? Bloody brilliant if ya ask me!

Look exatly like GH1, wonder if 720p is 60fps or 30fps? What g2 has that gh1 don't is that it has 6400 iso which mean might improve over previous iso performance with just 3200 iso.
Love it, love it , Swivel LCD with touch screen and HD video, too bad it is still not full HD. Mechanical SLRs will soon be extinct, only thing i care for is a big sensor and fast live composing. I am getting the blue one..

if it is not a Micro Four Thirds, you can buy an adapter for different mounts.
