Nearly every character in Warcraft has a back story merged with and combining the world's lore through book trilogies and games.

They're interesting reads and prime examples of how writing collides with gaming.

Simply having detail doesn't make it good. Its shitty. Compared to Tolkien the lore lacks so much. It isn't just wow, however, so much fantasy-based lore is shitty.

Yes, the lore in this game in no way effects the pleasure I get from the challenge of of fighting other players. I will read the silmarillion if I want to read about rad bad guys. Go rp with your shitty cartoon fantasy lore.
