Actually, when it comes to these guys, one of them (Eric Harris) was either a developing sociopath or psychopath while the other (Dylan Klebold) was depressive. Those were the biggest triggers in this shooting. While bullying was most definitely a factor, it wasn't the main reason for this shooting.
It's not their fault. They were bullied. At least those jerks at the school will think twice before messing with another kid again. It isn't fun to watch, I'll admit. But it shows what can happen if you bully someone. Everybody thinks how great it would be to kill somebody. These kids achually did it out of depression. They waren't thinking. Oh... and when someone says "This is fun to watch" maybe they just want to know more about what happened. So shut your mouth. Okayy?
Easy to demonize those two boys after what happened, but if you wan't to prevent such an event from happening again, the system of schools must be changed.
To feel so exiled, alienated, harassed, and degraded in school is hard. Taking those feelings out on others with violence is the dream of anyone in that position, and there is no a geek or freak who have not at some point wanted violent revenge, most not as extreme though. Dylan was thrown into the mix by his depression and Eric who was always angry got Dylan to want to do it. Dylan might have never done the shooting had he gotten into the marines when he tried joining, but his anti depression medication prevented him from being enlisted. I believe not being accepted into the Marines along with all of the harrassment he got from other students angered him and helped him commit the massacre with Eric.
When columbine comes to mind I cry. I'm merely sad for both of the victims and shooters. OokylesmomisabitchoO is right. These kids were taunted and teased and made fun of. They even had rough lifes. These kids were going through alot. I can understand why they would do this. Yeah I know they had no right, but I cant blame them. Dylan was thrown into the mix by his depression and Eric who was always angry got Dylan to want to do it. Dylan might have never done the shooting had he gotten into the marines when he tried joining, but his anti depression medication prevented him from being enlisted. I believe not being accepted into the Marines along with all of the harrassment he got from other students angered him and helped him commit the massacre with Eric.
