It was more common for kingdoms who won the war to have both kingdoms fuse into one. Most of the time "wars" consisted in contests between either the strongests soldiers of both armies/kingdoms or between both kings. Whoever lost had its kingdom become part of the winner. @Drettorch Problem is: modern egyptians have some neanderthals dna while ancient kings/priests don't. Modern day egyptians have very low sickle-cell traits, which is typical of arabs and not too ancient mixed-race populations. On the other hand, ancient egyptian dynasties have that sickle-cell prevalence of drepanocytosis. This in itself is conclusive. You should take a look at the evidence provided by the other person you're talking with, I knew of them before, but I agree with them.

Yes, today, the most used alphabet is the latin script. It won't change the fact that there were several writing systems in Kongo for instance. Usage of hieroglyphics is attested by archeological findings in Kasaï a Kongo (early statues of osiris, potry, canope vases, tombs, some King's tombs, etc) for instance. Kiduma, & vai, like nsibidi used signs that disappered in the egyptian's middle empire days, which basically means they're likely to be at least as old as the hieroglyphics & closely related.
