The difference between Men's and Women's skis

A question about binding placement: isn't this up to you when you mount the bindings? I can't think of a reason why you couldn't mount the bindings further forward on a men's ski if you wanted to.

@Onchei There is much more differences between a mens ski and a womens ski than just the binding placement.
