I played counter strike 1.6 without Half life. If you have a license version counter strike then you dont need halflife. But if you have half life you can play counter strike 1.6 for free

all old games who dont need pixelshader are able to play on the Lenovo S10 , because the netbook dont support Pixelshader or Direct X. Only OpenGL

@pufixas pufix Counter strike was a Half life mod back then. But after a short time it becam to a standalone Game. Counter Strike use the Half life engine nothing else. It hasnt anymore with half life to do

I'm also trying to run HL on a S10, but am unable to get it to run in true widescreen format. I can either stretch the 4:3 image or play with black bars on either side, but no widescreen, it's really pissing me off.

webcam quality is not good but same with acer aspire one, hehe. i use 3 cell battery, battery can be used up to two more hours of use if not excessive, if you play for the half-life battery will quickly clear out ;)

@ronirodika Lenovo S10 has a screen resolution of 1024 x 576, there is no 600 pixels in height :) (which is crap, cant play Heroes III, it needs 800x600 at least) :(
