Stress Factor`s Women`s Self Defense class introduction. In this video we explain a few key differences in the male and female bodies when it comes to fighting and we go over some of the primary tools and basic rules ...
The fiery woman in this video is a genius computer scientist; more specifically, she is at the forefront of research into computational thinking. I dare say seeing this is the equivalent of seeing Phillip Glass playing a pickup game with Kobe Bryant...and holding his own!
You can read on back of uniform "tang soo do and moo duk kwan" two korean martial arts perhaps some style of taekwondo call him self moo duk kwan probally for have incorporated some forms.
@TheSamaell I think what they meant to say was Korean Karate or Tang Soo Do which if you looked at the Kanji or Hanji it would translate into English as the Tang Hand(or Chinese fist/hand). The same Kanji was used for the Okinawan word for Karate before the 1930s afterwards the Okinawans Japanized the word karate and used the ideogram or Kanji KARA: empty and TE:hand. We also have to remember that all of Korea was part of Japan from 1910-1945 so the newer Korean styles are closer to Japanese.
:45 WTF, step over undead enemy 1:15, axe kick? I am generally very kind to all martial artists of different styles, however, being being a TSD practitioner, this is disappointing and borderline fraud
does anyone else realize that in the weapons "self defenses" she never knocked the weapons out of the guys hands? Shouldnt that be her first priority in self defense?
OK, Im so sick of everyone bad mouthing TKD. The real, REAL TKD is not a sport. The Gen made it for military combat for his soilders in the Korean conflict. It was not till 1969 or so that the WTF was created and screwed the name of TDK. They should have called it something else. The is a real difference between ITF TKD, WTF, and TSD. TSD is nothing more than karate with little to no changes in kata. ITF is a mixture of moslty Shotokan and some eliments of kung Fu at higher forms.
@ofomatheblackbelt WHAT? I can tell u have no idea what ur talking about. I have been in TKD since 1975! I studied with the Gen him self and have had many conversations with him about the HOWS AND WHYS of the creations of TKD and what I said came directly from the Gen mouth! Ur informations came from???? Do some real research befor u open ur mouth and make urself look stupid!
@ofomatheblackbelt Yea, ur just a little kid or a small minded individual that has no skills and knowledge of martial arts. IF u think u have what it takes Im at . THE SCHOOL OF MARTIAL ARTS, On Airline in Houston Texas.. BRING IT ON LITTLE BOY!
I would argue that TSD is Korean karate because it is based on Karate(regardless if any Korean will admit that). TSD is NOT TKD. TSD is still a martial art, not a crappy sport. Fangz, just because they suck, do not assume all TSD suck. You are right, mixing in Jujitsu is good, but what is Modern jujitsu?Jujitsu predates Karate by several hunderd years.
Exactly, Karate originated in okinawa as okinawa T, its silly that people are callin this korean Karate lol, its more like so cheesy kind of shitty TKD
