hi . i am going to be buying an african grey. but the one that im getting offered is nearly 2 years old. is it possible to learn them tricks and how to speak at that age??
hey. ye i have a senegal already and i tamed her ok. but ive got a hand rared baby cockatiel. so i have kinda alot of expirince with birds coz my family has had lost since i was a kid. but its just that an african grey is a realy inteligent bird i was just thinking if it will be impossible to tame and train.
oh yes! they never stop learning, they can actually get better with age
my BF got a 6 yr old grey, he had it for 14 years and it tripled its vocabulary
you have to give them attention and talk about everything you are doing, bring them in every room you go to...its a big commitment having a grey. make sure you know what you are getting into.
what were you feeding him?
