  • I just read the description this guy sounds like a dick.

  • I was planning on breaking in and stealing all your guns once you died. Now I have to wait another generation, shit.

    Lol great shooting.

  • nice shooting man and good job not being stupid with a handgun

  • Great job, this kid has a bright future! :)

  • @bonebeans dude you obviously dont own one of these guns.....they come with a top rail for mounting sights... iron sights alone are extremely accurate.....its called a mkIII target pistol...now be a good boy and slap your forehead and say Dohhh!!

  • looks like my back yard :)

  • These videos give gun owners a good name. Shooting sports need to make a comeback. This would teach confidence and piss off politicians.

  • Gotta love a ruger mark iii

  • i just asked my dad to buy me one like 5 mins ago how loud is it.

  • Nice shooting,,,,,,,,,the only thing better would be a smile after that last shot. Work on that Dad....alll repects.

  • HA That kid would DESTROY me at that.. ha ha

  • Good call on the ear plugs, when I was shooting w my friend and his dad we were firing 38 +P ARMOR PIERCING KTW rounds and a shotgun with COTTON BALLS in our ears, I was a little ticked because I thought he had everything prepared and I was saying "WHAT?" a lot that week.

I cant complain too much though because it was a fun trip.

  • The kid doesn't look very happy.

  • Outstanding..........and carry on.

  • Good shooting! Slow, but accurate.

  • these sights suck, see my video for proof, customer service is a joke and their warranty is nonexistent

  • Cool!

  • hehehehehehe how can you not see this is fake on the last shot it took about 2 sec for the plate to fall anyway nice video

  • @detenedozreano I take it you've never shot a plate rack with a .22? Where I shoot, you are damn lucky to knock a plate over unless you shoot them at the VERY top. Of course these could be lighter plates just for rimfire. Not fake, maybe just a low hit.

  • @detenedozreano Really, man? It's impossible to hit a plate low and have it teeter on balance before it falls?

  • damn nice shooting little dude!

  • Very good shooting for a young person; it takes confidence to shoot that quickly that well. Kudos to dad.

  • sweet I wish my dad let me shoot a gun

  • Nice shooting!

  • That's a fine job young man. Wish I could have been the marksman you are at your age.

  • I love the mk 3 :3

  • Ive been to a range that looks just like that, It wouldnt happen to be in Minnesota would it??

  • @SN0TRAG Yup, Rochester mn

  • @airfoof Lol thats awesome, my sister lives right down the road from there, Last may I went to visit (im from CA) and I brought a couple pistols including a ruger .22 like yours. I think they had benches in front of those plates when I was there.

  • @airfoof Minnesota! hollllla!!!!!!!!!!

  • i got one of those my self with the 7" berral it probally my favriot pistol

  • KIds got skill

  • I just bought a new Refield 2-7x33 scope and will be switching it back and forth from my Mark 3 to 10//22 tommorow at the range. The redot he is using helps a lot with hitting multiple targets as you only have to allign two objects instead of three (target, front, and rear sight). I want to see what kind of grouping I can get at 100 yards with the mark 3 which is why I'm mounting the scope.

  • Only those who are completely ignorant about guns think that all kids with guns go shoot up schools

  • nice but now try without the scope, thats the real talent

  • At that distance it is no harder without an optic.

I'm a hell of a shot but I wasn't good with pistols at that age, that's for sure. His parents are doing him a great service by teaching him young.

  • @Darklordkime where is a scope?

  • nicely done

  • he is good to me

  • give the kid a break hes 13 and didnt miss 1 target you guys would be lucky to shot yourself let alone anything else

  • What range is that? Looks like 7 or 10 yards.

  • yhah it really isnt its just a .22 ha

  • He already shoots at s high school level xD

  • speechless

  • hey great shooting

    try an 38 special

    or a glock 18

  • oh piss off pussy

  • Great pistol,Great shootin!!

  • Great shootin kid!!

  • sweet jesus, he's a banshee with that thing

  • that kid is a beast with that thing. the gun is also sweet

  • Its not that difficult to do what he did xD

  • Great shooting!

  • I have a Ruger Mark III Hunter with the long fluted barrel and I can not decide if I want to put a scope on it or not..... Any advice?

  • Every single time a gun is shot there is inherent risk.

The kid has eye protection, ear protection, has perfect form, and works the safety like an instructor, always holds the barrel down range, everyone is calm and deliberate in their actions; this video is the poster child of gun safety.

  • @lj2justgoto ...and proper FUN with guns too! :)

  • Ehhh... i wouldn't stand that close, there's a video here of some guy shooting a metal plate waay further away and the bullet comes back and knocks his hearing protection off his head.

  • I shot a penny at 10 feet and the bullet bounced back and hit me in the chest., I barely felt it hit. I have the penny and bullet.

  • Cool

But nevertheless, sending pieces of heavy metal flying at those velocities does have an inherent risk.

  • like driving, only the metal pieces are bigger

  • i got the same gun and we have a scope with a red dot and you could hit anything with that very accurate and fun gun

  • this is in your back yard? nice

  • He's like....Give me a 9mm already lol.

  • you will do good in the army or police

  • Excellent shooting! good job,

  • That kid is awesome!

He can hit plate sized targets at 15 yards with a fucking SCOPE.

And to all these fucktards saying "Oh my goodness, no ear protection!" When the bullet hit the target it made more noise then when the round left the barrel.

  • Usually I don't waste my time on you angry type, but the Mark III is actually very loud for a .22. I personally have the 4 inch mark III and after a few shots I had to put on the muffs because it was ear splitting. And yeah he is using a scope but it was also pretty fast shooting, he is 13, who cares?

  • brentnowell I had skipped your comment, just read it. I use Hyper Velocity rounds with Truncated cone. Bought them in a value pack with a free little knife. I'll switch to CCI CB rounds this weekend and see how that goes.

  • Nice job kiddo, not only did you sweep the muzzle across your father, you also aren't wearing ear protection. Kudos.

  • hearing protection? for a .22? untill your comment i didn't think you could go too far when it comes to gun safety.

  • Hearing and eye protection are essential when shooting any firearm, regardless of caliber. There are many adults today who lost a significant amount of hearing by shooting .22's unprotected when they were kids. The criticism about not keeping the muzzle downrange is valid too.

  • Going to agree with you xilch

hyper velocity cartridges in .22LR are loud, and will damage your hearing. Even sub sonics are loud, the only cartridge I can safely say that requires NO hearing protection in .22LR is the CCI CB Long cartridges. They are about 700fps with a 29 grain bullet, very very quiet. When outdoors its about as loud as an airgun.

  • ive shot my dads and my .22LR pistol wit cci and it made our ear ring the only time u dont need to wear hearing protection wit those is when u shoot them out of a rifle then it not that bad

  • dude, its a 22., i dont think he need ear protection. and ha never "swept" the muzzle across his dad. its pointed in the right direction the whole time. how about a positive comment next time?

  • I own the Mark 300 and it does give me a ringing after a few clips. Now, I always use earplugs from work. Eye protection is a must too. You only get 1 pair of eyes but the kid is wearing clear safety glasses.

  • Watch your muzzle, kiddo. The gun was possibly still loaded, and you did not have it pointed downrange. Dangerous.

  • That's not a scope.

    It's a dot sight.

But i think a framed open dot sight like Docter or Eotech is in opposite to a tube sight the better choice for a pistol. Because a framed sight gives a wider range of sight and makes possible a faster aiming.

  • Just aim and it will go there i just think its stupid to have a scope or sight for a pistol when its a .22 and it comes with a aimer..

  • Who cares forget it!!

  • Take a chill pill! The sight looks cool, that's the reason my son keeps asking me to get one for our new Ruger Mark III.

  • NO DUMBASS u die and lose windows and walls

  • lol not in ur base ment it will ricashae off the walls and can hit you

  • Please dont do that...that is very unsafe. Guns will kill.

  • it is a .22, but yes, a bullet placed in the right spot will kill and it will definatly injure anywher on the body. It is a real gun

  • holy shit he good

  • Any gun can kill someone, but that shouldn't be the main reason for having one.

  • i love mine and they are safe now but my MK 2 (government target model) both are 6.7/8 inch, actualy shoots a little better not enough to really matter but with match grade rounds and a bench rest you can tell. and the plates you are shooting at are kinda heavy for a .22 they dont fall fast enough you can catch a ricochet straight back. i had it happen to me stading at 30 yards you are closer than that im just sayin IT CAN HAPPEN so put on them shooting OAKLEY'S

  • Good shooting kid!

You've got one hell of a father there... Most of us could have only hoped to have a parent as supporting.

That said, cut you're hair! You looked like a damn hippie. ;) j/k but I did think you were a female until you turned around.

  • As his father, Thanks!

there are so many people out here just don't get it. They are so afraid of somthing they don't understand. And that to me is just more scary.

BTW, we made him ut his hair :)

  • he did a nice job!!! i thankyou for making him cut his hair...lol i hate emo haircuts. <<i just sounded old..."these kids these days"...lol kat

  • @airfoof thats hilarious you made him cut his hair...

  • Actually only the first batch of guns had that problem. They recalled those and corrected the issue

  • bet we're more free than your sorry ass...let us americans deal with our own problems...you seem to have enough of your own....

  • lol we have this in england, just every1 is scared of guns,i had a bb gun 1 of them and i was pissed and shot a ga.l inbetween the eyes,no beam just popped her omg they pwn!

  • He's a kid! Man, some of you guys must have had mean dads or something lol. Nice shooting. Keep it up, and don't pay attention to these people making dumb comments. Everyone starts somewhere, and you are off to a great start.

  • love the mark III

  • fudatask stfu u as$hole. ur a fag

  • Just got one, less kick than a rifle. I've got the hunter version.

  • V1deon1gga... Your comment hurts me. There's nothing more beautiful than a Mk. III. ^__^

  • those guns are ugly

  • Yes, nobody said it was empty. But notice he immediately put the safety on and never pointed at anyone or anything he couldn't shoot at. I'm glad that you looked so hard for something negative to say. Geez.

  • not bad but take the scope off, I mean whats the point? It could be zeroed in crap and he'd probably still hit. Also, give him one target and see how well he groups, thats the real test, most people can hit several targets once each. Also, 7 targets in four seconds? that aren't so shit hot mate. Maybe for a civilian.

  • from some one in the american army, the aussie army ain't shit hot, mate.

  • yeaa he kick5 a55 hell yeaa whoooooooo he5 awe5ome Ohhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa love it 5IKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Wait, actually I retract that comment, I have put down 7 targets in 4 seconds.

  • Nice shooting, but it's a target pistol. Give the kid a real handgun, and you most likely wont get the same results.

  • man, some people talk rubbish.... looks like a real handgun to me! go home stehelahalefloogenheigen

  • it looks like a .22 target pistol to me. Put a real handgun, aka something in the caliber of a .45, and you'll probably get different results. I wasn't trying to detract from the kids awesome skills. I just get tired of comments like, "good enough to be swat," Yeah, if only the swat team used a Mark 3...

  • marine force recon uses a silenced .22lr... so apparently both 22lr, .45, and 9mm have their advantages and disadvantages.

  • Yes, and the Mark3's advantage is target shooting. Some kid commented "good enough to be swat." While he's got great skills at target shooting, he's probably no where near close to being equipped to serve on any task force. This was the only point I was trying to make. You're not going to teach me anything about guns, so don't bother.

  • SIGN HIM UP FOR A COMP HES READY

  • i don't think there is..just some more safety features

  • YOUR SON KICKS ASS!!!! HE SHOULD TRY THE SINGLE ACTION ARMY!

  • good enough to be SWAT
