  • it is possible to put the same type of cyclone system inside the vacuum suction unit, ofcourse it needs some rearagement , the vacuum filter will go inside the cyclone suction part . ofcourse it will be good if the vacuum company does it, just by putting a upside done cone and cyclinder around the vacuum filter. internal cyclinder diameter will be little biger than the filter diameter of vacuum system.

  • i bought that same cyclone two years ago and installed it before my 1.5hp dc with 6" runs and it rocks

  • @michaelgandy I tried running it with a smaller collector like that but it would not pull the chips out of my plainer, love how well it spins out the dust. I have not changed the bags on my collector since I got it.

    Thanks

  • @DarlingtonFarm Thats funny, I've been mostly a hobbyist woodworker for about 30 years, and I couldn't live with a crappy dust collector.

  • All that really expensive woodworking machinery, and then you cheap out on dust collection ?

  • @Woodchuck2U I ended up finding a 3hp Powermatic single stage and am running the separator in line with it. Its not so much cheaping out but building the shop on a pay as you go arrangement. I could live with a crappy dust collector for a hobby shop but now I am now running it as a business and made enough to pay for a good collector.

    Thanks

  • I'm dizzy now
