  • How many people you know can make a song about a CAR so strong and beautiful? Bravo! And he sounds perfectly like the recordings BRAVO!

  • Hey there!

    I'm a 14-year-old girl and I have a dream:

No, I don't want to be a famous singer yet, but

I want to share my music with you and maybe I can inspire some people.

Maybe there are some other piano players and singers out there who have the same dream as me.

They play and sing with passion and with heart, the same as I do. And they want to inspire other people and give a little love to them :)

Or they want to get inspired.

Anyways, I would be so happy if someone would listen to my music

  • @pauliirosii YEAST INFECTION

  • it was a great film. beautiful song.

  • The definition of a good song, in my opinion, is a song that captures an emotion or a feeling. The definition of an amazzing song is a song that goes beyond this; a song that captures a lifetime and the complexety of the person who lived it. This song does that. In a few lines, a couple of minutes, you get the essense of Clint's role in Gran Torino. This is such a beautiful score; very real and with a brilliant simplicity. Jamie, this is incredible!

  • It's politically incorrect but that's what made it so real.

  • 3:55 If you want to skip the talking and go directly to the playing :)

  • amazing performer as always!! Shame he got the Hmong fact wrong :s

  • this song is the most dramatic song that i have heard... so great...

  • this kid is good

  • Truly one of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever.

  • I whole heartedly agree with olbigdik 's comment. It is an exciting thought what we might have in store for us all from this wonder kid Jamie !

  • a great song to go along with a great film!

  • I sit here 20 min. after playing the song and tears are still rolling down my face. The melody haunts me. It brings up in me emotions that feel like Sunday afternoons, neatly mowed lawns and wonderfully bittersweet moments of childhood memories frozen in time and of the longing to feel them once again. I tip my hat to you, Clint, for going out with such grace and to you, Jamie, for your humility and compassion. The world is nothing more than all the tiny things you've left behind. Thank you.

  • love ,,,,,, good

  • this movie was truly amazing and so is this guys singing

  • loved the film and the music but Hmong are Laotians, not displaced Koreans

  • lõl_Ì_fEél_sÒ_lÖñèlY_töDâY

  • great song, wouldnt be as good without clint eastwoods voice at the start.

  • I cry every time I hear this song.

  • NOPE you do not know how good you really are and if you keep your head on straight your going to be around a long long time because you stick out like a sore thumb with all the untalented TRASH making so call "Music" today....

  • WOW. Perfect performance. Jamie cullum is amazing.

  • amazing song, brillently sung.

  • Gran Torino is a true classic, and this song fits it beautifully; watch the movie again, and listen to how the theme and melody is established early one, so that when the final credits come, it's already subconsciously engrained.

  • Jamie Cullum is one seriously fantastic act and if you have not seen his DVD Live you are missing something big time

  • At the end of the movie when they play this song they are driving on Belle Isle a great place on the Detroit river where I have fomd memories and this song only makes them fonder

  • @frank66302 Thanks Frank. I only hear bad things about Detroit but this beautiful song coupled with that movie scene and your comments give me a different perspective.

  • Fantastic.

I love this song and that movie was so good.

Of course I cried. If you say you didn't, you're a liar.

    (:

  • Just a beautiful song. JC is very talented, as someone else said, this guy writes, sounds great live yet makes a lot of his music sound like its the 2nd or 3rd time he's played it and still appears to be humbled and slightly in awe of the appreciation he s shown. A perfect example of how simplicity can have as much an effect as a complex interpretation, of which JC does equally well.

  • eeeeehw nice :)

  • this song is awesome

  • beautiful

  • Class act, great song, great voice and he is a true artist with genuine talent. Fuck you Akon!

  • Saw the film --heard the song & I wept , beautiful - - such a wonderful piece of work , thankyou xxx

  • Its so funny when people with an accent sing they sound like an american so amazing great artist very talented

  • This song should have won the Oscar that year. The snobs would have never given it to a Clint Eastwood movie, but Jamie really deserved it. So fitting for the movie, so fitting for a lot of our lives.

  • @eliasfvaldes i agree elias,it touches you on so many levels and musically, this song doesn`t follow the normal pattern of a song,i`m not an expert at all on music theory,i even i can tell,it is written differently from how most songs are written, someone who knows music theory could explain it better, but i bet i`m right.i`m no pussy, but i`m not ashamed to say i cried too.lol

  • Beautiful song. Truly gifted artist. Clarity of thought. Makes it look effortless. Thank you for this wonderful song. And, for sharing your artistic process.

  • Wow, we have seen the movie and it is amazing our children haven't! . We have always loved him but our children 4,11,and 12 are convinced Jamie is a god we have two more 10 and 13 who are more into xfactor! Only our 11 and 12 year olds attended the concert in Geneva and they loved it listening to this interview they are even more impressed and we are going to make more of an effort to let our four year old play our piano!!!!

  • Jamie, I don't think even you understand just how amazing this is. Maybe many years from now you will pull it out, play it, and understand that this is one of the best scores that has ever been recorded! Great movie, and you wrapped it up in such a smooth and real song. Keep it up, Kid!!!

  • @olbigdik Hole in one!!

  • @olbigdik

yes, maybe you are right - but some few people are fare beyond other ones - he must be one of these ! this is something where I can not hold back tears - not only bcs it´s sad ... it´s ...different

  • I've got myself a new favorite singer!!!

  • this movie is the bees knees, legs arms and etc.

  • @Mikhavoc LOL!

  • Wow... What an artist. Great songwriter...great movie...and GREAT song. Perfect song for one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen. Truly magical. Thanks guys...

  • Love this song!!! And! What hearing it does to me!

  • song is pure art voice and lyrics ..the man could not have done a better job for the movie fits like a glove

  • He was wrong about one thing though. The Hmong were displaced Vietnamese, not Koreans.

  • WOAH! he sounds PERFECT live! Best/ most touching song there is!

  • effort less, amazing.

  • Just a hint of Jazz & R&B .. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

  • I once made a song like this. I put it in my movie and the movie did really well.

  • Nice ! I liked

  • fuck some people just write shite...who the hell was he descriminating against....surprised we´ve had no casino´s complaining...

  • clint eastwood is a god

  • 3:55

  • Jamie I am a proud Filipino, you have to respect us, Filipinos has a lot of great things, come to our country for you to see.

You are a great artist but you do not have the right to discriminate us.

  • @whiteskinlab STFU, he just Stated that "Gran Torino didn't rhyme with a lot of great things." stating that Filipino isn't bad.. he could be saying that Filipinos are great.. no need to get your tampons in a bundle! :)

  • @whiteskinlab How are you being discriminated against?

  • @whiteskinlab what are you talking about !!! ????

  • @whiteskinlab fuckin idiot. he wasn't..

  • @whiteskinlab He wasn't discriminating against you man. He meant it from an artistic standpoint. Honestly, could you imagine him rhyming Gran Torino with Filipino during the song? It would have been dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. I think you took it a bit too seriously. All it was was him saying that it was a terrible thing to put into a song about a movie focused around Koreans in an American neighborhood. Nothing racist there, buddy.

  • @skej113 They focuse on Hmongs on Koreans

  • @whiteskinlab stfu u faggot ass shit

  • @tctk1 Please try to find happiness, if this is your way to find joy by stealing it from others, then you must look elsewhere!!! Uness! You simply enjoy being laughed at! Poor pitiful soul!!! Shame on me for giving you so much of my time!!!

  • Jamie Cullum is a great musician and a star in the old fashioned sense. ie. he is not just a face without any talent.

If you ever get a chance to see him live, just do it. He will go down as one of the greats with Sinatra, Bassie, McCartney, and a few more.

  • Clint Eastwood is the real genius; he provided the theme and all... (i think he's responsible for the theme for Mystic River too). This guy, Jamie Cullum, didn't do anything spectacular with what was given to him, and his voice (on this song, at least) aint that great either.

  • @karlwilfr Hey karlwilfr, will you please send me some of your songs & videos.

You must be GREAT to be so much better than this guy!

Jamie Cullen has a GORGEOUS RAW voice.

Can't wait to see & hear you & your stuff!!!

  • @karlwilfr it's kinda growing on me; it's alright.

  • thanks for uploading this :)

  • I'm an old hippie, graduated H.S in 1969. seen and heard everyone from The Beatles to Miles Davis and I must say that Jamie Cullum is the present and the future of great music.

  • How can you not like this guy? Cool dude.

  • whats with the random "enter your text here" boxes? lol

  • wow!

  • Beautiful song... very talented guy!! Thanks for posting.

  • beautiful. real music.

  • brilliant song brilliant film. love jamie cullum.

  • Fuck me ! what a song !

  • I've seen Jamie live and it was one of the best live performances I've seen. He's fun, creative and very talented. He's coming back to LA this month (July) and it will be a real treat to see him again in a 1200 seat outdoor theater. This guy has much more to give the music world. Looking forward to it!

  • he's AMAZING! and this song is perfect in every way..0.0 i love it! <3

  • Great, just great. Love it. Fascinating story, too.

  • JC is a great musician but he looks lyk a pleb :/

  • all thought Jaime met well... or maybe his american english n culture wasn't taken well... but right or wrong america was founded of diversity! never the less the movie n theme song is moving!!!

  • did he ever make a mistake in this performance...NO!! not one. he is absolutely amazing!

  • i wonder why this film was snubbed by the oscars organizers.

  • @czarssalad Very simple. They didn't want to give homage to Clint's brilliant performance. The racism in the film that only a great man with balls like Clint can do. It is a film that will be looked back on years from now as a pure masterpiece because, I believe, we are going to "politically correct" ourselves into self destruction. Period.

  • Comment removed

  • @czarssalad This movie is just not the usual Holywood trash...

  • @czarssalad What the Oscars nominate and vote for is irrelevant. Many great and memorable films were over-looked at the time of their release, but are now classics. Time and age of great films are the true judges. Will a film be remembered 20 years from now? If it's worth it, yes.

  • His voice is superb.

  • lol,now i'm here just imagining clint eastwood saying "it's perfect" over and over again

  • the song he wrote for the movie is absolutely beautiful

  • he has a flufee hair! ;D

  • so awesome

  • This guy is talented and young, so I'll forgive his factual lapses. 1) The Hmong hill tribe people were not from Korea, they were from Laos. They came to the US after the Vietnam War, not the Korean War. 2) Eastwood's character was not inherently racist. He barked a lot, but ultimately believed in justice and rewarding virtue, despite color. If his character had been racist he would have elevated his idiot white son, but instead he saw value in his Hmong neighbors and took a bullet for them.

  • @snarkfarkle Many bullets. If i may correct on that part.

  • @sideshow45 10-4, I stand corrected! :)

  • @snarkfarkle lol, that was a great movie!

  • A truly beautiful song to a truly beautiful movie!!

  • I love this song. Everytime I go to Detroit, I think of this song and driving up Jefferson Ave (aka Lakeshore)..

  • perfect voice

  • Well, I have to say that I actually had to see the movie to hear Jamie for the first time - never heard before. But fantastic song; now isn't it ?

  • awsome.... sparkling

  • I've loved this guy from his first album, truly great. Excellent live performer as well.

  • That story is just as amazing as the song is. That was fantastic and so was the movie.

  • What a character. Jamie can do no wrong in my eyes.

  • A greit story.

  • Amazing!!

  • Brilliant.

  • B E A utiful

  • What's great about this guy is he is a genuine artist! Composes his own music, sings fantastic live, plays his own accompaniment and has infused fragments of other style into his own and he is just unique!

  • Jamie Cullum is a genius!

  • un fenomeno

  • great song!!!

  • Totally brilliant....

  • And what a wonderful Beautiful song it is,what a dream come true to co-write this music at Clint's house!
