less turns and too much use of one side (she only turns in one direction pretty much, and needs to use her left leg for something other than balance! her right leg is doing all the fancy stuff). but other than that, whether it was technically correct or not, she's a beautiful little dancer! very talented! :)

She is amazing!!!!!! I wish she didn't do so many turns and leaps. Not to say they aren't STUNNING! And she most definitely should show them off at some points during the dance, but her movement is indescribable! Most kids don't understand the difference between dancing and doing tricks, but this kids gets it! I was completely captured by her dancing, and think the choreographers should recognize that and fill a little less time with her tricks.

It is the preference of the dance studio... Many studios have lyrical dancers wear jazz shoes if they do many pirrouettes...the footies or undies do not allow you to do 8 - 10 pirouettes like some of these girls do.

modern is usually the one that is barefoot. and lyrical you can dance in any shoe. Shes now doing like 14 turns, i doubt you can do that barefoot or in a foot paw or toe paw or whatever! at my studio (which is JPD) some/many girls are doing a lot of turns which is nearly impossible in toepaws/barefoot. me and many of the other students prefer jazz shoes than getting blisters :/

I freakin love that jump at 1:06 to 1:07. and how at 1:12 to 1:13 she spins around in the air twice. I had to learn that jump in Swan Lake a few years ago and it took me for freaking ever to get a hang of it. I don't even think I have it in me to do it anymore. yeesh...all her jumps are so amazing!

Im a mom of a strong dancer and want to know what to do with her as I dont know if I should stay at my small studio with so far good training(shes getting platinums and winning 1st overall)or do we leave and go to a studio like this for better training. Shes the top one in her class at our studio. Did you go to JPD by chance or did you choose JPD for a certain reason? Does she continue to get stronger every year and are there children stronger than her to look up to and grow from in her class.

JPD classes are not age based so Kiara dances with numerous dancers that are as strong as her or stronger.One way of determining a good studio can be by seeing how many strong seniors the studio has developed.This shows that the instructors have had the ability to build not just a few strong dancers that have grown & flourished thru the years but countless successful dancers.(This sets a presidence.)There are many great studios out there.Goodluck with your decision

I just took a class at this studio in Temecula so I know how this girl got this good! Let me just say that at my old studio I never really broke into a sweat..ok thats all you do at JPD...they work you sooooo hard..that is why these girls are trained so well ..they push you to be the best and they know every aspect of technique ..the instructors are so amazing!! I cant even imagine starting out there at this age..how good will she be in a few years?!!
