  • Paul/Kucinich 2012. Hell, I'd like that as a 3rd party ticket.

  • I like Dennis Kucinich, definitely don't agree with him on everything but there re a few of his qualities I wish every politician had.

Bol Maher's views are interesting, cause he's not some hippy flakey liberal, it's kinda weird to describe his politics.

  • as much as I like kucinich's honesty and willingness to challenge the establishment, his stance for a single-payer healthcare system makes me go from 100% wanting to vote for him to being REALLY skeptical. He didn't want the bailouts and is suspicious of a lot of wasted taxpayer dollars, so I don't get why he is so emphatically for that

  • why didn't he win??

  • @magixregion Emotion always triumphs over logic. That applies to both liberal and conservative. You have to get people emotionally involved. Getting someone afraid that Iran will bomb Israel is far easier than talking about the fallacy, financially, morally and logically of having bases all around the world and banks who have taken over the country. The people have been dumbed down. They're looking for something in a 30 second soundbite that will get them going.

  • Huge respect for Kucinich. He cannot be bought.....a rare thing in politics !

  • the democratic ron paul..

  • i wish bill maher george carlin and dennis kucinich were presidents together

  • kucinich is a great american. i salute him.

  • Is he Buddhist? He certainly sounds like one.

  • @nimatoike Catholic.

  • Americans are such sheep. He would have got us out of war and not bailed out those fucks on Wall Street. Of course the Fed would have killed him just like they killed JFK.

  • Bill Maher thinks assassination is such a great tool but he's the real tool

  • The media, which is owned by the giant Corprotocracy, will never give him the exposure he would need to win, because he would destroy their agenda. Everybody should turn off their televisions and take to the streets. The TV is their tool for keeping your mind soft with self absorption through manipulation.

  • Imagine a country where the next election is between Paul and Kucinich. Could we really lose?

  • This man will never be president of the US. Shame.

  • Man of honor, unmatched intelligent, honesty, wisdom, integrity, and sanity. If only Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich were the president and vice-president, this country would revitalize again and be prosperous.

  • If Dennis was president, he would be killed. Just like JFK. JFK didn't want the invasion of cuba or a war with russia. The CIA did. Dennis doesn't want the "war on terror" The banks and CIA do. He would be shot within his first term.

  • A US Politician who believes in diplomacy as a solution to foreign conflicts. Hell must of Frozen over

  • IM IN LOVE

  • Dennis lost me a little on the marijuana issue.

  • Fuck President. Dennis K for Emperor of the Universe.

  • @6Ott7 In my world he would get that too.

  • @6Ott7 LOL isn't that how we got into trouble in the first place? Bush thought he was king of the world and chosen by God, and proceeded to empire build in countries whose names he couldn't pronounce. Be careful about giving Obama too much power, too. You might think he's benevolent, but imagine Santorum with that power. Once the system is in place, everyone can use it.

  • Bill Maher is a Zionist owned peice of trash.

  • RUN, Dennis, RUN!!!!

  • People say he is too short to be president.

  • @themooddisorders

And you have to repeat their stupidity?

  • @LittleEmoBoy001 sorry?!?!

  • Dennis Kucinich is the only Democrat that I like. The only Politicians that I like better than him are Ron Paul and Ralph Nader.

  • vegetarian - does not eat meat

vegan - does not eat anything from animals

it really irritates me that maher is so focused on healthier dieting and doesn't know the difference between them or know how to pronounce vegan

  • he would be elected president in almost any european country...

  • @zurich131313 Europe isn't plagued by war propaganda from media, politicians, and even religious institutions. We've become a militarist country, unfortunately. Peace candidates like Kucinich and Gravel and Ron Paul can't win yet, but the peace message is gaining ground as Americans keep coming home in coffins.

  • Could there be more contrast between Palin and Kucinich? It's like a retarded David (Palin) and Goliath on steroids. How this guy is fringe and Palin a celeb is beyond me.

  • The one problem with universal healthcare if i don't quit smoking i will cost thousands and thousands of Canadian taxpayer dollars for an illness i gave myself through my regrettable lack of wisdom.

  • @bunkmasterflex

As the tobacco companies are all too happy to point out in Africa and Eastern Europe - Moderate Tobacco excises are a great revenue stream, and actually help the budget. -

The money spent on tobacco-related health issues is nothing compared to the savings from early death (fewer and shorter-lasting pensions) and taxes more than make up for health cost alone.

  • @bunkmasterflex

So? That means everyone else should suffer for the mistakes of stupid people? Nope.

  • Kucinich/Maher for 2012!!!!

  • Hey, I like this guy.

  • i wish this guy to be my prime minister

  • god i love Dennis Kucinich

  • Great interview but I was mainly interested in seeing who is taller, Dennis or Bill?

  • I love this man.

  • the problem is kucinich is to much of an idealist, the world just does not work that way.

  • like you know how the world works. Dennis Kucinich is in a position to change things even if he's not president. His ideals are common sense, common sense isn't really common because the people are way to gullible and fall for the distractions our government is bliding us with.

  • There are enough pessimists on this earth, don't make the few seem naive.

  • bullshit, cheney and W were idealists and got to implement their hateful greedy ideals.

  • from what angle are those two morons idealists?

  • i love him :)

  • If the public option fails, Kucinich should leave the Democratic party.

  • HATE

  • Tell me about it. Kucinich has a platform that some Democrats look at as too far left. They wanted a moderate. What good does that do for the people?

  • True. The Democrats always want a moderate so they can reach fake conservative voters in the South.

  • It does good for the corporations.

  • Kucinich a quaterback?!?!?

    Maybe for Pop Warner...

  • the reason why people with a popular platform (withdraw from Iraq, universal healthcare non-profit, etc) never get anywhere is because US elections are not about agendas, or platforms. Nobody really has a clue about where Obama or Mc Cain stand on the important issues. It is a beauty contest, a cult of personality. The issues people really care for NEVER get adressed..except in interviews with people who won't get anywhere anyway like this one.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. Totally agree !!

  • Kucinich and Paul have no secret agendas. Here's another reason why Kucinich didn't get much recignition. He doesn't support Israel. The Zionists don't like anyone opposing their policy of Israel brutally oppressing the Palestinians.

Dennis Kucinich even wanted Ron Paul as his running mate. A Progressive and a Libertarian on the same ticket.

  • it's a shame someone lke this man was simply born into the wrong country. Too much common sense to be a US politician.

  • Too much honesty as well.

  • They're afraid of honest candidates. What are people so afraid of? I mean wouldn't we want someone with no strings attached?

  • Yeah like Paul, Nader and Ventura. People are only interested in what they like to hear and not what they need to hear.

  • True. The American public always complains that politicians never give it to them straight but when those guys actually do, the public can't handle it.

In the words of the late George Carlin:

"Maybe it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe the public is what sucks."

  • United States of Canada, well that would be an improvement, wouldn't it? You'd turn into a country with healthcare for it's citizens and the world would be much relieved from US sponsored terrorism and war mongering

  • That's funny! considering you will end up with John McCain and more war and a huge deficit, Canada will be chuckling as usual at the lessons you refuse to learn...

  • Ok... when is the last time Canada has done anything?

  • we don't have to do anything... we just have to watch the US slide further down hill! I'm waiting for president Obama to pull you guys out of the quagmire the republicans have put you in :-)

  • it all may sound pretty but what his talking about when he says uniting the nation it sounds to me like destroying sovereignty. I'm sure this guy has good intentions on what he says is very naive. The UN is nothing more then a toll to unify power not a great humanitarian project designed to stop all wars and poverty. wake up, the UN is the new world order of designed to enslave humanity and nothing more.

  • Yea . . . thinking like yours is what brought us World War two. If the "sovereign" nations of europe had taken the sound advice of Woodrow Wilson about forming the league of nations, and had been less punitive towards Germany (as we FINALLY did after the next war, which I might add, worked pretty damn well), we wouldn't have had 72 million people lose their lives by 1945. (history doesn't teach if you don't read. learn and apply).

  • Also when people talk about 'sovereignty' I don't think they understand what they mean exactly. I think they think they mean independence when in fact they mean existing in a vacuum. And as we've learned numerous times, no nation can exist in a vacuum and hope to survive. In that case we may as well call it 'the united states of the moon' and move there. It just makes your nation sound like a hermit. And hermitism is fine for individuals, but not for nations.

  • I think this man would be amazing for America and any candidate who doesnt consider peace is only going to shove us further into hell..He could make me proud to be an American.

  • wow this guy actually wants to do good for the country and the world ...ofcourse he will never even be considered for office , why cause he wants to act on jesus's message and not merely pay lip service to him....so dennis keep dreaming you'll never be the president but I 'll tell you there 'll always be the few of us who will keep dreaming for a better world along with you ...God bless your peace loving soul

  • The U.S. would be a better place if Dennis Kucinich were president. He's the one reason I'm happy to live in Ohio.

  • jonedelleman's comment on this video displays a way of thinking far more frightening than anything i've heard since last viewing the republican debate

  • squirmypuppy, you don't have to live here or even never have to visit. You do not understand our way of life within its historical framework.

That all of youhave such a negative opinion is due to ignorance and onesided information. You have lost your freedom of speech already and don't even know it.

  • Ron Paul treats the Constitution as though it was perfect. Even the framers themselves, know that the Constitution is nowhere near perfection. Also, the framers meant to allow for the Constitution's interpretations to change with society, Ron Paul seems to disregard this. Dr. Paul thinks that we should interpret the constitution as if we lived in the 18th century.

  • The constitution is the best contract between citizens and government that has ever been devised, and though it isn't perfect, it is the closest we are likely to come any time soon. It deals with the basic rights and needs of humanity, and those issues have not changed just because we have shiny metal horses and electric candles these days.

  • No, the reason the constitution is so good, is because it can be changed, and it is adaptable. Did you know that Thomas Jefferson thought that the constitution should be changed every 19 years? And since when has it been a human right to own a piece of machinery that anyone can use that will kill anyone and everyone?

  • Ok, I'll give you that, it is good that the constitution can adapt and it can be changed, of course. I assume with your question is about guns, well, since when is it the government's right to decide what type of machine a person can own? I am not a fan of guns, but the fact remains that the founders wanted the citizens to be able to defend themselves from any future tyrannical government.

  • Ok, I have to agree with you, but I definitely think that the semi-automatic ban should be reenacted. And technology like fingerprint-reading triggers should be employed, as well as other practical gun contol.

  • Well, it's a tough question. It is a shame that guns even exist, in a perfect world we would not have them and we wouldn't need them.

  • do you really think there will be one?

  • No, I don't.

  • therefore guns (other than hunting use, and not fame hunting but hunting to get food) are useless for civilians.

  • Bush is the one who is pushing for the North American Union, NOT Dennis. I suggest YOU get your facts, dumbass.

  • This guy is dangerous to this country. He hasn't realized that not everybody wants peace or is honest or even wants America to exist. "Uniting the nations of the world.." how far removed from reality is this guy ? He doesn't even sound like a citizen. Hell, WE ARE A NATION ABOVE NATIONS !

  • you actually believe the USA is better than other countries??? ha ha ha ha you gotta be fucking kidding me. You have no national health care program, you nearly the only wealthy nation in the world to have this situtaion. You also have more violence, more fat people, and more ignorant religious conservatives that do not belive in Darwin that nearly any other wealthy country in the world. The USA is pretty backwards and behind the rest of the modern world.

  • yes, sirwinfred, I do. I came here 30+ years ago and and havenot regretted it yet. Europe is great, if you are satisfied with having the same opinion as all the papers and everybody else. Here, you can still differ and be respected. How you deal with differing opinions is clear : personal attacks and foul mouth. How superior !

  • thats sad those are the only reasons you think America is bad, cause not enough people believe in Darwin's theory of evolution who was a staunch racists, how about the fact that America was stolen from the Indians who much more peaceful and prosperous than Europeans, but you fuckin liberals don't give a fuck about that cause deep down you're just as racists as white conservatives

  • What do you get when you cross Noam Chomsky with Eckhart Tolle??

    (see above)

  • Dennis can't be a 'real' politician, he's too smart.

  • Go Dennis go!
