Yes has a 3.5 jack plug a lot of laptop has this, well good ones do.

The unit has great tweeters and woofer speakers sounds like a sub woofer effect. Very full sound for the price very hard to beat here in Australia.

This T612 is great for a bedroom, bathroom or kitchen :) nice sound. Even net radio sounds beautiful. Can plug an iPhone or iPad even a mp3 player.cost $255 in Australia but I got em down to $240 bargain. All you need really.

i had this one for a while now but this thing broke 3 of my first generation ipods.. due some bending inside the ipod which was unfixable at the apple store...but i am getting an iphone soon.. does it work good with the iphone? like no metal bending inside the newest ipod/phone?

Thank you for your response. It would be interesting if anyone else has experienced this. It is as though the metal parts of the ipod have become live. The sensation is there during charging and when the unit is turned on, basically as long as the unit is plugged into a live mains socket. I have checked my earth connection etc but this should not apply as the unit is double insulated. It is strange as the power supply only delivers 18 volts to the T612. I will email Altec Lansing.

This is a great speaker system which I have had for about 6 months but recently it has delveloped a tingling sensation when the metal case of my ipod is touched. It feels as though the case has become 'live'. I do not suffer from any buzz in the speakers. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just wondering if anyone who has got on can tell me if it makes any sort of buzzing sound when on standby. As my current, very cheap iPod dock has a very bad buzzing sound meaning that I cannot use it at night as it keeps me up. Cheers

you can adjust the bass and treble intensity by selecting the button and selecting the up and down buttons

u can control the bass by pressing on the bass button and then go up and down on the volume control

He's wrong about the bass and treble adjustment. Press either button to select then increase or decrease using the volume buttons-the lights demonstrate the level of treble and base you have chosen. In the IK £140 or so.

excellent video, from what I could hear the system had a very clear and full sound, at least as far as speaker/dock systems are concerned (I've just always been more of a fan of systems with separate speakers)...
