You're going to make me do it. The Hebrew word used in Jer 10 for ax is ma sad, which means chiseling tool used to carve wood. How is setting up a Christmas tree the same as chiseling an idol. And it is not rocket science that evergreen trees produce sap so they would not have used an evergreen tree to carve an image out of. It would be too messy and sticky. Preachers are supposed to talk to others with respect, not acting like some street thug. Most church-going people sincerely think that Christ was born on Christmas, and they need to be told the truth but not like this. This just makes people upset because of the unnecessary name calling.

the weather in Israel is different from the weather here. It is not winter for every country in the world in December. For example, June-september are summer time in America but is winter in South Africa. I visited South Africa before and you can tell also from the past Fifa World cup in South Africa. So, it is possible that December wasn't a winter month in Israel

This goes well beyond Christmas. This is about the true worship of God! How man is supposed to worship God. We are supposed to be following the footsteps of the messiah. We are to walk as he walked. People in the church today have been walking in error! The doctrines are getting worse! the folly is getting more foolish. And none have an eye to see it. I guess if you are not a christian you must be a heathen. In actuality they mean the same thing!

I dont understand how people believe in Christmas when it is not in the bible. Nothing connected with the celebration of Christmas is in the bible. This is exactly how the antichrist will come and deceive. The christians will be hit first because they are the blindest! I have already told you that I do not allow history to dictate my present except for Christ born, crucified, and resurected. Everything we need to know is in the Bible. If it is not, it is not eternally important which means I have freedom of choice. I choose to celebrate the day my Lord left His throne and stepped foot on this ground to become the Holy Sacrafice that takes away the sins of man. There is nothing in the Bible that tells me NOT to celebrate Christmas either! You think that Jer 10 is talking about tree worshippers when it was talking about idol worship. Thanks be to God that I do not worship idols. I do live by the book brother, not what the history channel has to say or what Google has to say but, what God has to say. If I decorate a tree and give thanks to God that is between me and God isnt it? If I eat meat and give thanks to God that too is between me and God.

You're going to make me do it. The Hebrew word used in Jer 10 for ax is ma sad, which means chiseling tool used to carve wood. How is setting up a Christmas tree the same as chiseling an idol. And it is not rocket science that evergreen trees produce sap so they would not have used an evergreen tree to carve an image out of. It would be too messy and sticky. They also made sacrafices for their idols. After Christmas, I burn the tree. Hardly sounds like worship to me.
