@SnatchToDaFace how is it fake you can see the magnets go buy contacts retard its not supposed to be an exact replica of the rubix cube get a life kid you saw him twist it
do you seriously want to buy it? because it really doesnt twist that well.. you can make about 5-6 twists before it falls apart. if you really wanted it though i might be able to put it up on ebay for you
yeah... thats kinda a bit much.. i basically put this cube together from scraps and it only cost me $2 or $3 i think... the stickers came from a broken "rubiks revolution", the center nails & bolts from spare parts.. and the magnets are held on by superglue. i bought the dice and magnets from a dollar store. very unprofessional but magnetic rubiks cubes arent meant to be good cubes anyways so im satisfied lol
yeah, i like it too since you really thought of how you would make it yourself, and not do it as in the tutorial, your very creative :)
i've kind of started a collenction since i could solve the rubiks cube, i thought it would be nice having a such thing but it was too expensive, maybe i will make it sometime when i can earn money easily or something xD
if you made a cube you probably know how to solve one, whats your personal best?
i've found that if you really want to solve the cube super fast its almost all memorization. i'm trying to learn fridrich's method. eventually i'll get there but i have to find the time to memorize all those algorithms. its an awful lot to remember. how far have you gotten with your memorization?
well, i dont really know any algorithms for f2l, its really just experimentation for me. im probably doing it wrong since im using 1 algorithm for every step, and reapeat them wich takes very long
No Sir, I was just kidding. That was just my complement saying it is a very nice looking and creative puzzle :) I have enough dice to make one so now thanks. It is a very nice puzzle indeed. But I wouldn't buy it for $100 haha. No it was just my compliment :) Keep making puzzles!
if you drill holes and then glue them in, it works better

are those neodymum magnets?
rploeger 2 years ago
nope, theyre just some cheap magnets i found at a dollar store... neodymum magnets are really expensive and this was a "budget cube" lol
maymichu 2 years ago
yeah i know, i have found a good tutorial on how to make one, its really cool but it would cost around 50-60 dollars

maymichu 2 years ago
wow! i find it impressive!
my time is 1 minute and 6 seconds, because im still using dan browns method i think, im busy learning f2l at the moment, but its quite hard

Haha I don't think I'm going to make my own. the dice I have are going to be used to make a fully functional 2x2x6

Great idea to not use neo magnets to make it cheaper but it's too bulky. And it's like a multi holed void cube.

wouldnt it just be easier and less expensive to just buy a rubiks brand 3x3?
arcrobe 3 years ago
people want different looks than the eoriginal cube. like the magnetic cube
ddrmaxman 3 years ago
Plus, if you make one that just has dice and magnets, there aren't any stickers to wear down.
blackwidowcd1 3 years ago
Awesome cube. I've been wanting to do a couple of custom cubes as well. Haven't yet but your cube is very inovative. Totaly 5 star worthy.

rubixcubix96 4 years ago
That is a very cool cube. Did you make it yourself?
AestheticNerd 4 years ago
Yes, I did. They are pretty easy to make, they just take a little time. You can buy them on ebay.
maymichu 4 years ago
No thanks. That thing looks very unstable. Fun, but too unstable for my likes...
AestheticNerd 4 years ago
True, it is very unstable. I don't sell them, this is actually the only one that I've ever handled. Nothing beats Erno Rubik's mechanical model!
maymichu 4 years ago
Yep. I don't even know how he came up with it...
AestheticNerd 4 years ago
It is a wonder how it works. I've heard the first one he ever made was wooden. I wonder if he came up with the 4X4 and 5X5 rubiks cube designs...
maymichu 4 years ago
I think other people came up with those designs and his company bought those designs...
AestheticNerd 4 years ago
He made lots of money off of rubiks cube sales, ive read. He built a mansion or something.
The first patented "rubiks cube" was made of magnets by some American inventor, but it didn't sell well. His mechanical model hit it big in the 80's.
maymichu 4 years ago
Really...I always thought Rubik made the first one...
AestheticNerd 4 years ago
rubik made the first mechanical one. earlier he tried to make it out of rubber bands but they just snapped.
Oh yeah, check out all the other rubiks puzzles he came up with! They're not as well known, but they are very cool.
maymichu 4 years ago
Alright. I'll look something up when I have time.
