He did not abandon it, Midway went bankrupt while Ed kept trying to get DLC out for MK vs DCU. It is pretty damn broken online though, i agree with you on that. @dasreviews Well actually from what I understand the team were kinda forced to abandon support for MK vs DC when Midway closed down and the Chicago studio and most of Midway's ip's were sold to WB. As WB wanted a all new MK game(probley to see if they could turn the series around) so Ed and co. went back to their orginal idea for what the eighth MK game was to be before Midway got the DC licence and had them make MK vs DC which was a return to the classic 2D MK style.
