Washington Temple doesn't deserve the lack of community participation its receiving. It was built on a foundation of Faith teachings and Holy Ghost Preachings and God was always in the presence. I heard that Eric Washington is writing a book about the great Bishop and Madame FD Washington. Eric is their Grandson who has turned over a new leaf in his life, I guess he's all grown up and ready to take the mantel and bring life back to his Grandparents legacy. I'll write back as I hear more....

My family (Armsteads) was raised in this church... My grandmother (Sis. Daisy Johnson) still goes to this church now.. I knew and adored Bishop Washington and Mother Ernestine... They are my FAMILY... Even my Uncle (Kelvin Armstead) used to sing on the choir... (RIP)...

He use to me my pastor in Brooklyn when I was growing up. When u walk into the the building I remember a sign that said prayer changes things. He was an inspiration to me. I miss him. And his wife, what a songbird. wow!

Thank you so much. I have been looking and waiting for videos of this great Pentecostal giant. We used to travel up to Brooklyn from DC to hear this man of God and we always looked to hear him preach for Bishop Samuel Kelsey during the DC Convocations and Workers Meetings in the 70s. He was a great pastor and an excellent pulpiteer. He could preach the Bible and any thing else and people would be blessed under the power of the Holy Ghost.
