Do you really think the missile shield surrounding the Pentagon 'just wasn't working' that morning, like a broken kettle with a dodgy socket? Get real - the missile shield was deactivated. No wreckage was found on the Pentagon lawn except one engine, as it the rest of the plane vaporized. Who do they - or you, or anyone else who believes the White House version - think they are kidding?

Well I have no idea at all why you are trying to attribute some belief onto what I said beyond the assertion that, muslim extremism is being used as a 21st century version of the 'reds under the bed' communist threat.

I was solely referring to the fact that an enemy HAS been created for us (just not aliens) and never mentioned any belief in (or counter to) the White House version of events - please don't try and put words in my mouth.

I don't think there can be a more important lesson other than treat people the way you want to be treated. Thanks for posting this. I met Bob Anton Wilson in 1993 and had the privilege of spending time with him and his "better half" - Arlen Riley Wilson, wife, mother, underestimated poet & a great raconteur in her own right. I've never seen what Kurt Vonnegut calls a "nation of two" but they were it: partners, friends, and lovers and very much complimentary of each other as intellectual & emotional confidantes. Arlen died a few years before Bob died, surrounded by friends at home.
