In a TAS the runner also slows the game down using emulator tools. the game runs at 1 frame per secondin the runs as opposed to 30. the vid is then sped up to normal speed.
The point of tool-assisted speedruns is to be entertained not to be impressed. Like you are watching something that you would wow that is unbelivable or thats impossible! Skill is not needed just patience and good planning. Normal speedruns do require alot of skill and the point of watching them is to go wow that guy is awesome at that game!
Just gotta love the kooba stages. ESPECIALLY THE FLYING SHIP PARTS!!! Hmm... You know how to get anchor in this game? I haven't ever found it by my self but I've heard that it'll stop the stages so that you can take your time in them.
They used all the metal making cannonballs and little wrenches to throw at mario. They was going to make the tanks out of ice and chocolate but realised that mario would just use his statue powers to make them implode, and chose wood instead.
Fighting fire with fire isn't meant to be taken literally, Mashuren.. It's simply a metaphor for using one's same dirty or pernacious tactics against them. Haven't you ever watchded G.I. Joe? Knowing is half the battle, don't ya know. Good video btw

It's possible to get and maintain an 1-UP chain on the tank level and ship level by jumping on enemies continuously. It's hard, but fun.

yes we do use conrolled fires to eat up teh oxygen and lso eat up the fuel cause unlike the wildfire we can shut this one off..... good job duke

And the other half is shooting the enemy in the nuts. Personally I prefer fighting fire with explosives. Works with oil well fires.
