  • Aw they don't show the rest that's my favorite part heh

  • The first episode certainly sets a precedent for Jim and Dwight's relationship.

  • Later in that same scene, Jim says: "I have always been your biggest flan." Ryan says: "You should put him in custardy." Michael was thinking of something to do with pudding. Michael should have said "You're pudding me in an awkward place."

  • This is my favorite prank right next to Jim dressing as Dwight, ROFL!!

  • Jim is such a troll. LMFAO.

  • THAT is my FAVORITE scene in the entire history of the show! hahahahahaha XD Jim is awesome.

  • Jim is so badass :D

  • I've never heard of that joke before. Childish but who cares? I'd do it.

  • lol, ideas

  • This is the best shit ever XD

  • They are both funny in their own way. Yes the first series does copy the original a lot but in later seasons it has really evolved into it's own show.

  • wow this is a complete rip-off of the british version scene for scene.

  • @Cinnamongal77 doesnt matter a joke is a joke

do i care if the uk version had it first? no i love both versions

    should you care? no

do you think that every monty python joke wasnt twisted or "ripped-off" as the origional? maybe

but youll always think of monty python using that joke because it was the first

  • @Cinnamongal77 Ony the first season. The US Office morphed into it's own thing pretty quickly.

  • I sometimes feel like these guys are just improv guys and do it all on the spot.

  • he put my stuff in jello AGAIN! lmao

  • jim looks at michael and says, "you jelly?"

  • Problem, Dwight?

  • OMFG the american vesrion is such a rip of the british version! fucking hell cant you get your own ideas!!!

  • @TheJaaysog Actually Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are Executive Producers and Creators of the American verison. They can't rip off their own creation.

  • @tylerralph

Yet somehow it's not as funny :(

  • I prefer the UK version, this one isn't as funny because i've already seen the UK one and this is just... stealing the joke really isn't it?

  • Im doing this tonight!!!

  • HOW DID HE DO THAT?!!

  • @fabflowa you get the jello powder and make it bbut before you put it in the refridgerator to harden you put whatever it is inside. I am doing this tonight to my brothers keys(: Just dont put anything electronic in it!

  • @sidneyparker66 OHHH lol XD

  • John Krasinski has such a babyface in the early episodes :P And Steve's hair looks a little thin by his forehead, so it's really fun to watch late episodes, then skip to the first season, because some characters has really changed! ... well except for Dwight, Phyllis and, of course, Stanley. Stanley NEVER change... :P

  • Jim. is. awesome.

  • The jello containing my boss' stuff (stapler, all paperclips, and iphone cord) is setting in my fridge at this very moment

  • 0:14 lolol dwight voice crack

  • lmaoo I need to learn how to put objects inside jello's...this shit is hilarious

  • @PLKx2k9

make a sort of half jello, steal their stuff, put it on the half jello, and pour the rest of the jello mix in, then put it in the fridge over night. trust me, i did it to my friends car keys. i made him eat his way to his keys.

  • @PLKx2k9 Step One: make Jelly. Step two: put stuff in.

  • Nice camera

  • @fatloverize you mad bro?

  • I didnt even know there was a U.K. version until i saw it on netflix(:

  • GUYS!

Just beacuse you like one version of the show doesn't mean you need to bash the other. Don't like the US version, don't click on the clips from it. Go find UK clips.

  • i love how toby has a couple of boxes of dwight's "write-ups" that he never sent to corporate lol

  • this is kinda sad, this is the exact scene from the original british show.

  • @ollielegend14 this was in the pilot. the pilot was a copy of a british episode.

  • wtf why did they copy the british version

  • only an american has the ability to remake a comodey classic and make it shit, if you dont beleive watch the uk version

  • @greenp03 the uk office sucks the biggest nuts of all.

  • @socratesandlavagods how come america has remade it but made it shit then??!!

  • Pams laugh though xD

  • @flyingpillows i love her laughs XDD

  • uk's version is a classic like monty python, it revolutionized comedy and gave it a new perspective, that's why it was so short, it's full of remarkably intelligent details. this version has some funny scenes steve carell can be very funny but the way it is written like a soap opera, quality comes and goes. I never liked jim & pam in fact is the reason the show didn't hook me.

  • put him in 'custardy' first lame joke in the history of the office.

  • "pudding pudding, i got nothing"- michael scott

  • huh, I think I may do this in real life

  • Whats next, Jim putting Dwight in Jello?

  • Did anyone else notice the major voice crack at the end?

  • Unjellify!

  • @Daphneej is that an avpm reference? if it is, you just became my new best friend :D

  • @sammyforeverr94 hello new-best-friend, my name is Daph-neej, it is good to meet you! It's quite extraordinary that we FOUND eachother through a The Office video!

  • I just tried uploading the one where Andy's calculator was in jello and it keeps getting deleted. How where you able to upload this?

  • @fatloverize

I don't want to upset you anymore, but Americans didn't copy it, Ricky Gervais (aka God) sold the idea to us XD

  • Dwight's anger is amazing.

  • You can tell Dwight wanted to laugh too at 0:13

  • @fatloverize y u so mad bro?

  • @fatloverize are you mad, bro?

  • @fatloverize UMADBRO? @0@

  • @fatloverize UMADBRO?

  • Comment removed

  • @fatloverize youmadbro? :o

  • look on brightside,free jello!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My brother did this to me when I was away. When I came back my W, A, S, D keys, my wallet, and one of my cd's we're in jello...

  • I pulled this prank on my sister with a few of her bobby pins and a hair lacky and she got more angry than Dwight... -.-

  • i still dont get how this is funny. i mean. other episodes are. this just never got me...

  • im in the process of doing this to my english teacher.

he will be receiving it on monday morning with a note about how he's the greatest teacher on it.

  • love pam's laughter

  • Once my family did this for one of my sister's birthday. It's sorta difficult, but Jim is just THAT determined to mess with Dwight XD

  • Frickin hi-larious prank! Should so do that to my mom!

  • Watch the original Office where this happenes. 1,000,000,000,000,000 times better. Gareth and Tim are so much funnier. American Office sucks

  • I got a stapler in jello this last Christmas. It was awesome.

  • I'd eat my way to the stapler.

  • My friend and I are planning to do this to all of our teachers on the last day of school.

  • @Indyfilms123 don't forget to take pics

  • hold 8 for the most epic face

  • It's hardly a trifling matter..what you gonna do, take him into custody?

    UK OFFICE FTW!

  • I HAVE TO DO THIS!!! Now, where do you get Jello in Sweden?

  • At least he put it on a nice plate.

  • AHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA nice reenactment, love his reaction

  • Ricky is an executive producer of the American version so even though UK fans whine a lot, Ricky doesn't care.. He still earns money,,

  • jello??

    SO REAL!!!!

  • This was the first episode i ever saw lmao

  • Pam's giggle made me cum.

  • I love The Office!! LOL.

  • i laughed loud and squeaky with this scene on tv, i loved it "he put my stuff in jello again!!" Hahahahahah

  • LOL sounds like Dwight said fuck, listen to what he says after he yells DAMN IT!

  • This has nothing on the UK version :/

  • That's awesome. GO JIM!!!

  • Ricky Gervais wrote and starred in the UK Office, it was then sold to the States after bring a UK hit

  • again?

  • this is an exact copy of the office UK :/

  • @Tibble29 But better

  • @Tibble29 The Office in america came first. So the Office UK is the copy :o

  • @DannyPhantasimo I hope you're being sarcastic :p.

  • @Jexguy I was being sarcastic :)

Just how most of the characters are ;O

  • @DannyPhantasimo erm no it didnt but they are both funny

  • @DannyPhantasimo not true lol

i do like the american office better though

it gets amazing after season 1

  • @LobsterPotsticker you ruddy wanker

  • @DannyPhantasimo Other way around. And anyways Ricky gervais writes both so neither copied.

  • @Tibble29 B.J. Novak (Ryan) writes the American version, not Gervais

  • @DannyPhantasimo FALSE

    REDACT IT.

  • They should put Jim in custardy.

  • @TheHam38 icwatudidthere

  • @TheHam38 hey hey new guy yes he scores

  • This is better than the UK version easily

  • @isutton0007 how? explain why it is! i think your completely wrong but plz tell me how its funnier!

  • Boy do they overact in the American version,

  • @007DefCon3 i know tell me about it hahaha xD drama queens lmao

  • @BroWhatever2 WHOA. Chill out dude. Over reaction much?

  • @BroWhatever2

Yet American Office was more popular so HA!

  • See, this is acting. The British version of this scene was so bland compared to the acting in this. Each character is very clearly defined and funny in their own way. The British version has a bunch of copies of the same one.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize

Thats because The British version is the original office.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize Thats cos the British version is done like a real life documentary of how life actually is and the american one is dumbed down and over acted so people realise when things are funny. The British one would never do well in a primetime slot in america cos its too clever for that demograph.

  • @lahalane God forbid something be easy to get. I don't know if you know this, but if it takes time to understand a joke, IT'S NOT FUNNY. If you don't act well, IT'S NOT FUNNY! It's not a riddle! It's a comedy show! It sure as hell is not suppose to be a documentary! The point of good writing and good acting is that the reader/watcher/listener should have to do no work to get it or else the writer/actor isn't doing there job!

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize I know at the end of the day the mission is to get the laughs and to do it as easy as possible and thats fine, and if that means over acting, outlandish situations and obvious jokes then watch the Office US. If you enjoy clever, realistic and subtle humour then watch the Office UK. Ive watched both, enjoyed both but much prefer the UK version because you feel like theres more of an effort made to be funny and not just fired out there solely to make as much money as possible.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize ....just....just fuck you!

  • @TheRandyChimp Will do.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize Your an idiot. You obviously know nothing

  • @ShowMeYourSkillo ...It's called an opinion... chill.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize there's really not much of a comparison, they're really quite different series. The UK version was aiming for comedy that arises from awkward situation, hence the deadpan acting to add realism.

  • @TheHoleBag I'm not really comparing the shows, more the actors. Also this is the exact same scene from the UK version but the UK version is a let down to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize The UK characters definately have their own identity, its just that their acting is more realistic and subtle. Most of these characters are basically over-the-top versions of the originals, wich I guess is more compatible with American audiences. Also the British lead actor (Gervais) is a lot better. Both shows are hilarious in their own way.

  • @seblasian I would argue that Carrel is better but I did grow up with American television so I'm biased. I'm glad you can see that both shows are hilarious. I didn't realize this version did the jello gag as a shout out too the original until I saw this clip. Also "Trifle ing matter" ? "Custardy"?!? Genius.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize I'm sorry, but I disagree completely. Most Americans don't understand British comedy simply because of the understated performances. American sitcoms almost always feature cartoonish, exaggerated characters. This is not a sitcom. British sitcoms actually have characters that could be real people, and so it's all the funnier when they're put in situations that aren't normal. It's a Situation Comedy. You know what character comedies are usually called? Cartoons.

  • @SethKTheGr8 Telling them they don't understand it is purely insulting. And quite a few of the characters on the American version are believable.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize The british version was made like 10 years ago, and so came up with the idea for this scene anyway. the british version was the first version of the office, so obviously ones made in the future can be improved upon.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize you daft yank cunt

  • @MrFlibble2011 Wtf does that even mean?

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize You can't beat the original!

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize This one is a copy of the UK series.

  • @jpT1213 Yes, I know that. There's nothing in my comment that says otherwise. I said that all of the characters in the British version felt like the same character (Like copies of the same one). These actors created characters, not robots. I think they took the UK version and made it astronomically better.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize I don't think you quite understand British humor.

  • @jpT1213 in that most of it isn't very good? :P

  • @kelborn24 If you saw the original office, you wouldn't be saying that.

  • @jpT1213 Regardless, the American office was far better.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize i think the US one is better, the jokes are better and so are the characters, and the actors in the US version look like the characters they should portay

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize lol, somehow you have missed the point. This is typical American 'acting', the UK office is waaaaaay above your understanding.

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize just because you dont get the subtlety of the english one. if it hadnt been for our version you would have never even had your one!

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize retard, the british version is more bland because its done with a more dry sense of humour. the american version is a lot more slapstick which is why its able to run for so many seasons and the original is only 12 episodes (for the record im a massive fan of both shows but whenever you praise the american one youve gotta give props to the original)

  • @GuitarHeroCustomize British humor is more dry... so I guess it was a real hoot over there. Bland humor for bland people. :P

  • hey, mr. internet! isn't that jello too soft?

  • easily one of the best jim faces

  • "you have to eat it out" lmao

  • lol Im sorry but thats just to funny

  • you shouldve shown the whole thing where michaels like "you have to eat it out"

  • one day, dwight is gonna lose it and come with an ak-47 to office and murder everyone.

  • God I love Pams laugh xD

  • he got really pissed over jello

  • This was better on the UK Office

  • how do you do that???

  • Didn't even smirk at this version, god the US version is so dry

  • @puredruid good job. keep that nose in the air.

  • So nicking the idea for a show is something - but pinching the jokes as well?

    Damn.

  • "Put my co-worker's stapler in jello" is going on my list of things to do before I die now :)

  • I thought Pam's laugh was funnier.

  • Eat up

  • The US version is 20X better than the UK one. In the uk one they barely sound angry or excited and its just boring.

  • @RackliffeHoltRacette or not....

  • @JackWMS14 Yes....yes it is. Unless your a dirty brit. Then maybe you can understand it better then me, a silly american.

  • @RackliffeHoltRacette Oh dear. 'Dirty brit'? mate, get a life, You're chatting shit. I have nothing against americans, Just shit american remakes. Fairplay, robbing a show and writting some new material for it could be OK, but seriously? even robbing the jokes.... That is a pisstake.

People (Americans...) say the birtish one is shit and boring aswell as unenteraining, but the thing is, it is realistic. We don't constant slapstick to create a great programme.

    Peace.

  • @JackWMS14 ....dont Need constant....'

    My bad.

  • @JackWMS14 Actually I thought the British one's were way funnier, and I'm American. I wish they didn't only have 1 season/12 episodes. Ricky Gervais is freaking hilarious! I agree some shows and ideas are ripped which isn't fair. That's just...how it is? On the same token, shows that first premier in the US are remade in other countries, too, so it's not just us. It's business.

  • @JackWMS14 Monty Python is probably the most popular British comedy. We kinda do need constant slapstick to create a great programme.

  • @JackWMS14 You do realize that the creators of the UK version are creators and writers for the US version, right? So they robbed themselves?
