  • limit(x^3-1)/(sqrt(x)-1), x, 1, try to do that. the answer is 6.

  • thanks! that helped refresh my mind on how to do these haha

  • 1-a/ 1/a(squared) - 1

  • nice... im just really that stupid to understand math but with this.. i can easily get it!..

  • Thank you soooo much for you help!!!!

  • express the following as a single fraction in its simplest form 3/x-4 - 5/4x+7

    please help

  • hi I need help with x-x/x+4 /x+3

    Thank you

  • hi I need help with x-x/x+4 /x+3

    Thank you

  • HELPED ME SOOO MUCH!

  • Oh god can you tell me why you split the factor like that? If this is a trinomial are you doing a berry method? what ever happened with -XY? in MINUTE 5:10? you split the sides and left the inside untouched? i know this is not a factor lesson, but do like my teacher does. Just mentioned it how to do it, not a crime to refresh on factor quickly. Just say why you did it. Iknow factors, but not with two squares

  • thank you... cause my text book isn't making any sense right now

  • thanks

  • Thats a really confusing way to teach this for somebody trying to do that with real numbers

  • for the first one, couldnt you just multiply 4/x by the reciprical of 3/y (y/3), and still get the same answer. it just saves a step i think.

  • @Melbrookes8 Yeah, that would be a great way to do that problem. I did it the other way just to show a simple example.

  • u need a pen! for writing on a computer!

  • This is fantastic! Thanks a bunch. :D

  • in some equations can you use the highest common factor to work it out??

  • you rock... enough said :)

  • thanks! =)

  • Thanks A Lot !! it was very HELPFUL !!!!!

  • great vid thanks man

  • Referring to the 2nd problem. How do I know that the LCD is 'x -squared y -squared'

    Kind regards,

    J.

  • ur awesome!

  • My promblem now, is the factorization of the trinomial. how exactly did you get (y-x)(2y+x) from 2y^2-xy-x^2 as I totally forgot how to do this.

  • Very helpful. Thanks so much! :)

  • your video REALLY helped me! I got an A on my test . I had no idea how to do this before i saw this video and you made it so simple. Thank you!! =)

  • ahh why cant teachers explain like this.

  • good shit bro, buck alg2

  • ok, this is off topic, but how do you find the difference between a negative - and a minus sign/ i am so bad at positives and negatives, any help?

  • @iloveyou8770 Yes, I have another video on that topic: video # XY2-NSVKRoY

Or you can find it from my profile page. Thanks for asking!

  • @iloveyou8770 for adding negatives, think of the temperature outside, or like a bank account where people are paying you or you have to pay. That's a good way to start thinking of how it makes sense...

  • I am so lost in this section, I am trying, trying, and trying, I still don't understand how to solve this, and this is where I am going to fail. I am not getting this chapter at all, feel like ripping the book apart.

  • how did you get the lcd ?

  • I find your teaching on this method loud and clear, and I thank you for that...Just wonder how can I set up as a one on one tutoring or a small group...

  • @pulamann94 Send me an email and we can talk details for tutoring. info@yourtutoronline[dot]com

Looking forward to hearing from you.

  • this was great, thanks need help with tougher stuff and cant find it.

  • if you could help me with this one that would be awesome!:) x minus 1 over x ALL OVER x plus 1 over x.

  • thank you for this video,. it helps me on my exam. :D GOD BLESS! more power! thanks a lot! :D

  • take the INVERSE of the denominator and mulitply!!!

  • can you do a video on how you factored the bottom equation

  • This helped very much thank u

  • Can you possibly make another video on Complex Rational Expressions? Maybe do sever problmes with two fractions on top and two fractions on bottom. It would be much appriciated. Let me know if you do.

Awsome vid... Im going to the website now...

  • That is a really good idea...I think I just might make a video on that one. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @YourTutorOnline Did you ever by any chance?

  • thank ya!!!

    math is soo easy ^_^

  • im lost with the lcd how is x^2 Y^2 the lcd for 1/xy when 1/xy has an exponenent to the first degree.

  • because all of the denominators must match to get a lcd. It is easier to raise xy to the second power than it is to bring a high power down (the only way to do that would be with roots and that makes the problem more complicated)

  • Cool on how you did the animation just like paint. Awesome. It helps

  • Thanks...

  • great..!! thnx 4 your help..

  • Thanks. That is one of the most meaningful compliments I have received. Maybe I should become a teacher and make the big bucks.

Be sure to tell your classmates how great the video is.

    Thanks again!

  • It's a good video. but please next time, show some more COMPLICATED examples cause our teacher is nuts with giving us so complicated problems on this one. Thank you!

  • Could you offer an example of one of the complicated problems? I would certainly go through one or two of them for you.

I keep it simple here because if you understand for simply problems, (hopefully) you can apply it to more complicated problems.

  • I take classes at a local community college...

you explained how to simplify complex rational expressions better in 6 minutes and 33 seconds then my teacher can in a 3 hour class period.

    Thank you

  • I agree as well!

I can't believe I had to result to the internet over a teacher, but I'm glad I did, because it makes A LOT more sense!

    Thanks!
