You're only seeing this from where the video clip starts. Yes, it's POSSIBLE something else has annoyed the cat, but unlikely. The cat very likely KNOWS about the camera.

Some cameras don't make noise, and some cats are old and nearly deaf, but mostly, video cameras that use helical scan tape make a high freq noise that cats despise...

Get a solid state camera.
