  • At last! :) I watched another video and they put tin foil around the tube then ran the tin foil with a jumper back to the collector. that might be interesting to try. Three cheers great work :)

  • Mart----That should work . I'l try it. Thanks.

  • Congratulations Lidmotor.

Very nice work with your sec.

  • GBluer----Finally!! Now I have to go back and see if I can get the SGate to work right.

  • Lid:

That is lit up really bright man....nice work! Just curious, have you placed an am radio anywhere near this circuit to see if it buzzes on any frequency? I did that with the joule thief and got some cool noises. (It is on 2 of my vids) Keep up the great work...I love your videos. (5 stars)

  • Bill-- If you look back at my last video I did the AM radio trick and did get some wierd sound out of it.

  • Hello Lidmotor,

Just wanted to know what transistor you are using ? Congratulations. Also happy to see that SEC can run from two 9V batteries.

  • mmsglobe-- Thanks. The transistor is a MPSA06. This device needs 18 to 20 volts to work right and that is why I used the two 9V batteries in series.
