At last! :) I watched another video and they put tin foil around the tube then ran the tin foil with a jumper back to the collector. that might be interesting to try. Three cheers great work :)
That is lit up really bright man....nice work! Just curious, have you placed an am radio anywhere near this circuit to see if it buzzes on any frequency? I did that with the joule thief and got some cool noises. (It is on 2 of my vids) Keep up the great work...I love your videos. (5 stars)

Just wanted to know what transistor you are using ? Congratulations. Also happy to see that SEC can run from two 9V batteries.

mmsglobe-- Thanks.The transistor is a MPSA06. This device needs 18 to 20 volts to work right and that is why I used the two 9V batteries in series.
