i love the line where the announcer says " if any member /your grandmother dies in the shelter place her outside after tagging for identification purposes " that line changes through the song
and ronnie raygun saying " its enough to make you wonder if your on the right planet .....remembering him as i do thats an appropriate line lol
Trevor Horn's second hit with Frankie marked yet another technological revolution: 24-track digital recording. "Back in the mid-80s we had 24-track Sonys. I had one of the very first 24-track Sonys in 1984. And 'Two Tribes' I think was the first number one single on a Sony 24-track digi. 'Two Tribes' was completely digital."

This was one of the best groups and CDs of the 80s. I was 16 bu OMG we used to jam jam jam at the clubs. This brings back memories of sneaking into Lime Light in manhattan
@hamishmcd Yeh i thought the same, 80's music ruled! And that was just about as good as it could get! Brilliant bass line, incredible sound, so addictive, so euphoric. Meaningful lyrics too.
I see youtube has taken down the version with president Nixon talking at the beginning - can someone plz reupload it?
Ahhh....awesome. THIS is the version of this song I used to listen to in the mid-80's. I thought for some reason this was the version I had on my original CD of WTTPD?? Obviously I must have bought this 12" single of it back then...I'm so confused. Where did you get this? I can't find a download source to get it from that I know or trust. Would love to have this!
This song summed up the fears my generation grew up with - there were films about it, I joined CND when I was 17 - I'm still not 100% convinced that it has gone away.

@danieldunican this is the version they play at clubs, a LONG while ago (Thanksgiving 2001) I heard Derrick May play this, and the crowd went nuts.
