How many male artists are there out there that people just sort of wink at because of the talent? The voice is what matters. I get almost nonstop alignment from my society and I am not gay, simply 6 foot tall and I pop a muscle if I flex a finger. People think what they want anyway.

I wish this weren't a gay discussion at all. When I first heard this album, I fell in love with the music, since my dad had grown up on a farm - and this just felt right. I'm a straight - and not even Liberal (oh, gasp!) woman who works in a big city but whose heart is on the farm - and I love this, and I love k.d.!!!

@NatureGirl62 One's sexuality has no place in music. Look at the success of Queen in rock music, it never mattered. Some artists have tried to use their sexuality to gain attention, but I don't think KD Lang ever made a big deal about her sexuality. She's got class. I'm from the school of don't ask don't tell because this is about the art, which is the music and not someone's sexual preferences.
