I would absolutely support eletronic voting if...electronic recall were passed into law with it. The Electoral Colledge was founded in our Constitution for the purpose of keeping those two guys with shotguns in the movie Deliverence out of office. But as a remedy for having removed this power directly from Americans, we were compensated with the ability to fire on the spot any politicians we don't like. The day after an election if we like. 99% of Americans have not been taught this.
why don't they just make some scratch card voting slips, when people vote they can scratch the panel to reveal a random number, all the slips could then be scanned in to the machines after being collected from the boxes, people could then use the net to check whether their vote was counted and if it was correct. because it would be random and nobody would know who had what number everyone would be able to check if at least their vote was correct.
We should have a list of simple federal guidelines that all states should follow in how they conduct their elections. From establishing security standards for voting equipment to making sure the process is transparent. There are different rules in over a thousand different counties in the U.S. when it comes to elections.
Having uniform election code does not solve any problems. Voting fraud has increased DUE to machines since any kind of machine can be hacked whether they're mechanical or digital. The boob responding to the question seems to think that a paper that is spit out of a machine is a paper trail. It's a receipt - but a receipt of a singular state at that time. A paper trail is literally a trail of paper that can be used to determine the vote or verify the vote. A receipt cannot.
"Hacking Democracy" uncovers incendiary evidence from the trash cans of Texas to the ballot boxes of Ohio, exposing secrecy, votes in the trash, hackable software and election officials rigging the presidential recount.

The state, city /town, and federal governments
should now ban voting machines because
they cause voters nothing but technical problems.
All of the states in America need to return to paper
voting. Paper voting is better than machine election.

Paper ballots is the tried and trusted way! The elites are trying everything to make them a thing of history!

I agree. The only way to prevent a "Bushwhacking" like we had in 2000 is to bring back the paper ballot.

It is still an important issue that the press hardly covers.

Paper ballots work, hanging chads are only a problem if 7+ ballots are in the machine at the same time - Algore
