It's actually better to use 'second day hair' Wash your hair the day before you want to dye it. The natural oils in your hair are a good way to protect your hair from getting all dried out. But, other than that haha, good videoo ( = I like subtle red hair too.

I don't remember what the brand is, but at my local Sally's Beauty Supply there is a red hair dye made for dark hair. It's made so that you don't have to bleach the shit out of your hair. It comes out super red too!!

@LizzieSauter u can get tep ones, they state how many washes it will last for on the box. obviously theyre not as strong as normal hair dye so with brown hair it will only give u a tint effect. like a red tint or purple (what ever colour you decide to go)

I love how it turned out! I am actually very picky about red hair, like I either love it or hate it, and usually I don't like the orangey red hair (except when it is natural). So I am about to dye my hair red like now but I picked a more reddish than orangey color and still was worried about how it would look but after seeing your video i'm really less worried since you picked an orangey tone and your hair color was about the same as mine and it still came out really nice =)
