loved this one Joe Luis Arena was right there , in August the wife and me are planing on doing a road trip to Toronto Ontario Canada from Winnipeg Manitoba canada and we are going thrue the U.S Chicago and Detroit and the Twin Citys ,i cant wait to explore Detroit and Chicago :)

Nice to see you in my town Jim. That 4 level stack at the Southfield Freeway is what began my fascination with roads and highways when I was a kid. It is even more impressive when viewed upon approach from the Southfield Freeway.

I want to be honest. Detroit has suffered many things like the Car Company (Don't know what company) went on a recession. Also the Detroit Lions went 0-16 at one season. I think it was 07-08 NFL Season.

It's beem rough for Detroit somehow but I know Detroit will never give up and hopefully the Lions will make it in the Superbowl

@interstateruler It was General Motors that went to recession and was bailed out. It was the 2008-09 season that the Lions went 0-16. Currently, the Lions, Jaguars, Browns and Texans are the only teams in the NFL who've never been to a Super Bowl.

This is a pretty nice freeway, particularly the 8 mile stretch of C/D lanes.

Driving into Downtown Detroit along SR 10 was a fun experience, when I was there. Love driving thru that tunnel, just before downtown. Cool soundtrack on this, thumbs up, man!

Wow, I Drive this road every time i come into Downtown Detroit, Nice! When your in Detroit, be sure to film I-696, I-94, I-75. Trust Me, You wont be sorry if you drive I-696, its a really sweet freeway and I Highly recommend driving it!

Will you pass through it the tunnel to Windsor in a next video? I once entered US by ground through the tunnel after a transatlantic flight to Toronto and then a regional flight to Windsor instead flying to Detroit airport.

Thanks Jim, I remember now the city. I went to SOUTHFIELD where my partner IBM had his office. And I came also twice in 92/94, doing exhibitions at COBO hall (I guess COBO hall is right above last tunel of the video). I wonder if Pontchartrain hotel is located on other side of the tunel. I was staying there and it might be visible at end of your video.

i-96 in Detroit is know as the Rosa Parks Freeway from m-39 to I-75,a interstate that not a lot of backups and well mainted speeds all the time

love your vid.. quick question for you! when i make vids i use itunes for the background music and when i post online you tube always blocks the vid, "on copyright grounds" do you know how to post the music with the vid? thanks...

@thestranglersfan It all depends on what music you use based on the record label, some songs work, some don't. Do some research on the songs and maybe test upload them to see if they'll work. I can tell you most songs by the Warner Music Group will be muted or blocked.
