  • Thanks for describing your gear and where u got it from, been looking for a mosquito net for weeks for my hammock! Thanks Mike

  • I realise this is an old video, but, do you still use this hammock? I have a similar one, with no double bottom, so wondering how you find this when hiking in cold weather?

    Cheers

  • @MrMooseful yes i do matey, had a few different ones too but keep going back to it. i have an under quilt for cold weather.

    mike

  • whats that sound in the background, you next to a cricket field or some thing :p

  • Repeating erasmus4's question, exactly which trekmates mozzi net is it? As there is 5 on their website.

    Cheers Mate

  • is the base of that hammock water proof?

  • Which dd hammock is that?

  • Lol, never been in a hammock.

  • Very nice setup! Cannot beat Hammock camping! Saves the back and body from the stress the ground can deliver to it after a few weeks on the trail. Good video.

  • Hi Mike

Could you please specify which model from Treakmate mosquito net is?

    Excellent videos by the way

    Thanks

  • What setup would you use for winter camping? Is the tarp still a good option?

  • i would definatly use a tarp in winter, as you will see in my winter videos i will do in the winter months. good tip though dont put it close to the fire in the leanto type configuration it melts with the tinyest spark use a stronger tarp like the one that dave canterbury uses as part of his versa shelter on wilderness outfitters.

  • oh ok lol cool vids keep em coming!

  • this is typical english woodland, the govening b odies cant just leave woodland alone!

  • thats not the wilderness though, theres a big wooden fence behind you why??

  • cool video... im buying a hammock and tarp just now and im going camping with it in a few weeks is it pretty warm and comphy to sleep?

  • hello mate,

i think they can be for some?

you have to find a taughtness thats good for you. i dont like mine to tight, i have it what i call "half loose" but i fully recommend this system
