Oh sweet, they muted the damn video because I used a song from the PUBLIC BROADCASTING SYSTEM. It's goddamn public. I suppose I can't reference books from the public library in any of my papers now.
As a Nelsonville native and current resident, I think this video's title is a bit of a misnomer - I didn't see much in the way of examination of neighborhoods. It seemed to be more of a superficial examination of Nelsonville's poverty. When I think "neighborhood," I think "groups of houses" not "random shopping carts and trash."
It was just a working title. It was for a high school project, the criteria of which I really don't remember. It was for a friend, I'd already graduated (from NYHS no less). Basically someone came to me asking if I'd make them a video and I took it as a chance to be as satirical as possible, not make a documentary.
Damn you must of filmed on high strret or back street to find scumy scenes like you did. At least when you litter it's organic, it will decay in a few days. LOL Lived in Nelsonburg for 39 years. You forgot to film one thing. Peoples shocks exploding while they ride on Chestnut street.
Yeah, that was pretty much where most of the shots were taken. I tried to find as many shopping carts as possible. And the two clocks visible from the square have two different times on them. Nelsonville is just so well put together.
Lol...The one with the "A" circled in the alley is my grammas.
