I believe in corporal punishment but this was abuse.Although rare, I will spank my 3 boys but I never, never punish them when I am angry. 3 or 4 firm whacks on the butt is all that is needed. Then, you hold them, explain why they were punished, and tell them that you love them. Punish the behavior but affirm the child. In my experience, children learn more from respect and a parent who will show intrest and get involved in thier lives than they do from fear.

Like I said before, all we are seeing is the judgement, and not getting all of the facts. As far as we know, this could be the first time she disobeyed or the 400th time. The child/children get removed and the parent/parents scrutinized. They take the children until they investigate, however long and damaging to the children. A lot of the times it is people calling child services just because they don't agree with the parents' own beliefs on how to raise a child. And there are times when the teenage child yells abuse themselves just because they think the parents are being unfair. When people call child protection agencies and make reports whether false or not it is about something that has happened in their own home, yet it is brought into family court. Why should he be treated any different. It has everything to do with his job.

And it is a valid question of how did the camera get setup and tape this whole thing? And why? That shows some degree of premeditation. And if she meant to tape this and put it up online, then why did she wait this long to do it as well. @IFlick Copyright Infringement is a big thing. It is a FEDERAL OFFENCE. So now we have a minor, committing a federal offence, which means that her parents are the ones that will have to pay for it. And with him being a judge himself, he knows that he would probably lose his job. The psychological trauma that would be done to a kid for being the on responsible for that sort of damage to the family would be ten times worse.

His Honor will find what happens to himself and his career far worse than any penalty assessed by the Federal Government. The Judge will find this impossible to justify. First off, this has nothing to do with his job. It was something that took place in his own home. Does the beating seem a little excessive, yes. Is it uncalled for, maybe. All we are seeing is the punishment and not what she was told before hand about what she did, or how many times she was told not to do what she did. This also happened how many years ago? If you are calling for blood this long afterwards then how about we punish people for everything they did wrong in the past.

The only reason I can see why he beat her so badly is merely the fact that she's a judge's daughter. I don't believe in children being hit for any reason, but his motive is clear. He was afraid that his daughter would find incriminating evidence against him and post it for the world to see, like she did now. Know where he is? Out of office and into hiding. The child/children get removed and the parent/parents scrutinized. They take the children until they investigate, however long and damaging to the children. Have you ever dealt with child/family agencies...innocent people get accused everyday.

A lot of the times it is people calling child services just because they don't agree with the parents' own beliefs on how to raise a child. And there are times when the teenage child yells abuse themselves just because they think the parents are being unfair. @IFlick Copyright Infringement is a big thing. It is a FEDERAL OFFENCE. So now we have a minor, committing a federal offence, which means that her parents are the ones that will have to pay for it. And with him being a judge himself, he knows that he would probably lose his job. The psychological trauma that would be done to a kid for being the on responsible for that sort of damage to the family would be ten times worse.

@shadowdragonsmurf I don't think Federal authorities would have demanded flogging for punishment. His Honor will find what happens to himself and his career far worse than any penalty assessed by the Federal Government. The Judge will find this impossible to justify. Those carrying scares of treatment like this are actively engaged in locating the Judge . He should consider an identity change and leaving the country. His personal safety is in jeopardy.

@shadowdragonsmurf Obviously the girl set up the camera. Why? Because she wanted to use it to get her father punished (rightfully so) later in life for beating her on a then-consistent basis. She waited so long because she was living under her dad's roof and the consequences of releasing it then could have been severe. I also disagree with your last statement (though i am a Christian), I think we've been given some amount of knowledge of right and wrong and are perfectly capable of judging so.

First off, this has nothing to do with his job. It was something that took place in his own home. Does the beating seem a little excessive, yes. Is it uncalled for, maybe. All we are seeing is the punishment and not what she was told before hand about what she did, or how many times she was told not to do what she did. This also happened how many years ago? If you are calling for blood this long afterwards then how about we punish people for everything they did wrong in the past.

I am not against discipline... The issue I have is the fact that as a judge, he decides the fate of other families who get accused as abusers, because it is against the law to hit your child with an object...i.e. a belt. He takes away children from their families for this very reason...practice what you preach Judge Adams!!!

you are a poor excuses for parents. This man should be taken off the bench. He is a pig and the mother is just as bad/ God I cannot believe how some men think they need to beat their children . This is child abuse , He should go to prison and let the inmates beat him into submission.
