  • I'm a bit lost here. I created the flashplayer with content just fine and it played when I launched it. The file is in my folder but I can't figure out which file or folder to link it to so it will play in my browser. Would someone help me out here or steer me to the right video? Many thanks!

  • like he said the index file that was created right click open with select dreamweaver cs4 or cs5 dosent take a baby to figure that one out

  • this is a 4 step video and you only took 3 steps... make the part after you open dreamweaver. you simply can't assume we know how..if we did, why would we be watching this in the first place?

  • Hey I want to have the slideshow within a fireworks page as base gallery, how can i do that?

  • Thank you for this tutorial, I have watched it several times and really like the structure and functionality of this gallery. Could you please make another video and show how you export this into Dreamweaver ? I am very new to Fireworks and I am trying to learn it since I found how powerful this program is and how much you can do with it. I notice there are a lot of tutorials on Fireworks but not a lot of them teach you how to export their files into Dreamweaver.

    Thank you, Eric

  • You are a good teacher in indeed. Most people teach as if they are already telling someone what he or she already knows. But yours is different. You took your time to explain the points clearly. I don't comment on what people do but i have to comment this one because its good and encouraging. God bless you...

  • what is Fireworks for? I mean; watching another tuts looked to be very simmilar to illustrator. Is this program also used for the same??

  • Very nice tutorial. I actually built my entire portfolio using this tutorial and have 3 different albums in it. Here's my question: I'm using Dreamweaver and I'm ready to add new images to my albums now. I noticed the slideshow.xml file can be modified, so I added the script with new image name and added the actual jpg image to the image folder, but it didn't work. I also noticed in Dreamweaver there are 4 .js files related to the portfolio page. Am I supposed to modify them also? Anyone? Thnx

  • can i import the slideshow 'a' dreamweaver??? for my webpage?

  • Damn that was helpful thankyou very much

  • Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful tutorial! thanks!!!

  • Great tutorial :) You saved me a lot of time.

  • I followed the steps and it worked beautifully! I also found that I can go into the .xml file and make changes there and upload that to the server without having to recreate the slideshow. Thank you for sharing.

  • great vid man.... explained well and thanks , i just barra-bing-barra-boomed

  • how do you import it into dreamweaver

  • Great work man

  • i spent the past two weeks trying to produce a neat looking slideshow on flash cs4 to no avail

  • How can I upload my slideshow into Dreamweaver CS4? I think there's a few people on this thread that are asking the same question. :)

  • @denver3066 import the swf file.

  • But the photo gallery still doesnt appear. Why is that?

  • In Dreamweaver CS4, you head up to Insert, then hit Media, select SWF, browse for your file, and it should work.

    The keyboard shortcut is CTRL+ALT+F

  • Open the .html file and copy the code just to call that slideshow, Everything has been rendered using scripts and other xml codes which are for advanced people. You can modify the size, look through the code if you don't know how to open a doc like .html or .js then you might need to train a bit more in order to understand what's going on. I might use this technique, but I will modify it to fit my site =D

  • @denver3066 One way is just to copy the code and redirect the file urls

  • hey metrii2 if your talking on inputting it in dreamweaver you copy the code into your website and put a div tag before you put it in. hope it helped.

  • Thank you! Great tutorial!

  • how do you input the slideshow into your weblayout??

  • Hey quick question. How can you import the final slideshow into Dreamweaver CS4, and make it work? I imported the final slideshow SWF generated file into dreamweaver. Resized it to fit inside the page i wanted it on. This page has a swf navbar and some text. I did the split screen stuff read what was pointed where. Loaded it up manually onto my server. Created and placed the appropriate image folders that it would grab the images from.
