A very powerful way to get widespread awareness and impact change is—for better or worse—dramatizing the effects of a massive solar storm impacting earth on TV. I have a new 6-season (if we make it that far before the cataclysm!) series in development doing just that. We are pitching it to networks now. First season is completely written (13 one-hour episodes). Check it out & see the trailer at TheCarringtonEvent (dot) com. Accepting interviews. Like what you see? Spread the word!
@LJFreeguard If you think THIS is monotone, then you are a pretty darn lucky person. As someone who experienced the true peril of monotone for 2 years in Math class, this guy is like the presenter on Yo Gabba Gabba.
A sufficiently advanced civiization that can artificially manipulate gravity and create a mini-singularity (i.e. a mini-black hole) can theoretically destroy a star. Such is the power of the brain (which in humans is just 1.4 kg) vs the total mass of a star.
I appreciate this video and it's content, however your accent made it virtually impossible to hear what you were talking about. Please try to speak clearly.
@p27rpy internet speed. I wanted to convey a certain amount of very pertinent information in approximately 90 seconds. I succeeded. For those who have difficulty following what I say I highly recommend clicking the little 'CC' button and reading along. Being able to read along makes it much easier to understand and process the information I convey in the video. Cheers and thank you for your comment.
Fastest response ever? I think so. I understand the time constraints you set upon yourself, but when it becomes difficult for your audience to understand, don't you think you're missing the mark? Good informative video, but all this pertinent information is lost as I struggle to keep up. Rather than implement CC next time, I would recommend making the original video more clear and concise. Especially so when pertaining to a video with so much technical information.
@WorldScott If you're going to try speaking that quickly, maybe leave the tequila shots 'til AFTER you've recorded. You need to either learn to enunciate properly, or speak slower.
@signboyy That's what I was wondering about most of all! I am curious to find out exactly how fast that flare was projected. That's some major distance in a short period of time, but then again, it is all relative. A flare on occuring on VY Canis Majoris be spectacular to witness like this.
These are the reason we have "climate change" the morons at climate change forget that giant orange orb in the sky hasthe power to heat and cool the earth. Instead, scientist actually believe we can influence this with a pencil thin layer of carbon in the atmosphere......
@GuyEndore yeah i don't think this type of video is the best one for you to practice your stand up comedy in. Even harder to tell it's supposed to be funny under plain internet text.
@johnyjulez Hello, I wanted to let you know that I added a transcript to the video to help with this issue. As the video starts to play just hover over its right side and click on the little red CC button. You'll be able to read along with what I say. Thank you.
