A voice that in my opinion never got the accliam it truly deserved. He STILL sounds great and had serious range. Not too many 60+ vocalists can do that sans a mixing board.
the greatest gift is to be able to sing, and Rogers is the top of the tree!!! He had a profound on me when I was 10 years old and 42 years on he still is king!!!!!
I've been following Paul when He started the band, FREE! 40+ year's of GREAT vocal's and, MUSIC!!!! The MAN is a icon with me. Going to see him on the 22nd of July at the Casino in the FALL'S!!!! I can NOT wait! GOOSE BUMPS!
this is so damn good it hurts. And yeah, paul rodgers shows that some rock singers can go in there and really show some sensitivty as well as technique
Love this song!! If anyone gets the chance check out Dave Lennard, he is a Britains got talent reject, didnt even get past first round, i think he is amazing see what you think
Awesome range and powerful tone on Paul's vocals. Here I was thinking I've probably already heard Paul Rodgers' best work with Free, Bad Company and Queen, but this guy keeps on surprising the shit out of me!
btw- Is it the lighting, or does he look like he has a gold tooth in this video? Weird.
Paul Rodgers and Buddy Guy Together doesn't surprise me. Why'd it take so long? Look at these guys hurtin' peoples feelins and having absolutely no regard for our delicate sensibilities. And that guitar being subjected to so much deliberate Pain and Hurt. God Help us.
Rodgers could always bend a note just like any good blues man worth his salt. His range is flawless even after all these years. About the only great rocker who still sounds as powerful as he did 40 + years ago.
Still love Paul Rodgers' voice. "All Right Now" was the first "pop" song I ever heard and I was a big Free fan, then a big follower of Bad Company. Good to see he hasn't lost his touch!
For the ignorant- the black man plying lead is Buddy Guy. If you got to get into a racial thing. You are so far beyond stupid you may not make it back.
I picked up this album at a Flea market yesterday for 4euros, a great find! Not strictly Traditional Blues, more heavy guitar music, a must for guitar fans! Jason Bonham, son of deceased LedZep drummmer on drums.
Sorry mate, but I think you've got your wires crossed - never did this with Free - it's from his solo album of the same name, with loads of fantastic guest guitarists (Dave Gilmour, Jeff Beck and Brian May to name but a few). Well worth buying.
I love Paul Rogers and I love Buddy Guy. I am black man, and I am critical of my brothers(black and non-black) who use the phrase. Glazenburg, research the words formation and you can see this it's Roots are not positive. Just because a person of color uses it should give anyone license to repeat it. If anything this word should give one pause if they would research it's foundation.
ladies and gentleman......buddy guy.
