  • it's a fucking quarter of a kilometer !!!!

I was searching for an easy "how to" on starting making jumps in a NORMAL ski piste, just to learn how to land if I accidentally had to jump 2,5 meter hahaha and here these guys are jumping 100 times and live to tell !!! Thanks, but no thanks haha! Great jumps though! :)

  • name of the song?

  • @lilmoccamaster The Sleepers - Comeback Special

  • this is skydiving, without a parachute, turned into a competitive sport.

  • Comment removed

  • you have to make new video buddy

  • Johan Remen Evensen is the best skiflyer all times by 3 jumps in absolute world class, and still keep the world record!!

  • Johan Remen Evensen is the best skiflyer all times by 3 jumps in absolute world class, and still keep the world record!!

  • why dont they just do a 360 while in air :D and while that film it with a go pro

  • ahonen wär bei 250m gelandet

  • this shit is insane

  • i know absolutly nothing about ski jumping, but they all must have massive balls just to jump, never mind to fly a 1/4 kilometer, actually in those suits you can see how big there balls are, great englisht btw guys, i am assuing that most of the coments here are from ppl who don't speak english as a first language.

  • How can a jumper with 100 km/h take-off speed cand jump further than one with 105 ? there's smth about this schanze

  • @LitlePhil The hills are quite similar, they were designed by the same people. It's not wind either, the headwind was actually stronger in Planica 2005. No, what's happening is temperature - when air is cooled down, it gets thicker (=more lift per unit area). The difference between the two competitions is ~25°; so that less speed was needed to give the same amount of lift. You can see in Vikersund 2011 how even the constructors were taken by surprise and had to add lower start gates!

  • @LitlePhil Better technique and better wind

  • They should totally put a microcamera on their helmet and post the video on youtube!!

  • soon ull have to make a new video! :D i hope the title will be "jumps over 250m" ;))

  • watching this it felt like one of those dreams where you are falling...My legs felt weak! I would love to do something like this but I would probably pass out in mid-air lol

  • takes off at 1:31 lands at 1:40

  • he looks like sin cara

  • @raspyrey101 the first 1

  • Planica is Planica. This Vikersund is a joke.

  • @TheEzacal Joke? What an extraordinarily stupid statement - Vikersund has been around since the 30's. Not that it matters though; even if it was brand new, are all other hills supposed to make themselves less cool simply to NOT take the WR from Planica? They did it: built a beautiful record hill - give them credit for that - it's not Vikersunds fault the Slovenian govnt is so slow to fix the place up.

  • for me, Janne Ahonen's jump remains the best. He tryied the impossible. he is The best!

  • @BJrockk Bjoern Einar Romoeren would maybe have landed, its not impossible.

  • 2:08 should be 5X20 in style

  • When Evensen makes a telemark landing at 240 meters i think that proves that the norweigan's have another mentality than the Austrian that complains about to much speed because they jump to long.

  • best jumps is by far gregors schlierenzauers.....just pure killerpunch: 98,5 km/h where evensen had 100.2 at his WR.....lol schlierenzauer'd fly 255 with that and break his legs similar to the jump in lillehammer(150.5). heck evensen even has 99,2 on his 240 meters.....and on day 2 schlierenzauer has even less gate and 97,4 and goes 237,5 lol. absolute pwnage and no its not that he got lucky with the wind as evensen and schlierenzauer always went right after another. schlieri u are the best!!!

  • @Devilfish6666 Evensen is so much better at flying. Schlieri is a fantastic jumper, but no one can compare with evensen at flying!

  • @11homer97 lol no man......evensen never won alone(only one tied win with oh gregor schlierenzauer), schlieri won his first 5 flying competitions straight, he won 10 overall up to now, he has 3 flying gold medals and one silver. and as i stated, schlierenzauer jumps farther than evensen even with less gate/speed and same wind conditions(like when evensen jumped 240 with 99.2kmh, they shortened the inrun by 2 gates, schlieri jumps 243.5 with 98.5kmh right after evensen....)

  • @Devilfish6666 schlieri is a better jumper. No one argues about that, BUT with same technique, same speed, and strenght; Evensen is a better flyer.. end of discussion..

    But see your point!

  • @11homer97 Dont u think thers a reason why schlierenzauer won more flying competitions than any other jumper? and as stated before, evensen goes 240 with 99.2 km/h, schlierenzauer(who jumps right after him) goes 243.5 with 98.5(and on day 2 he went 237.5 with 97.4 km/h) so pls man theres no argueing about schlierenzauer being the non-plus ultra of ski flying, every trainer and expert states that he has the perfect aerodynamic flying position....and evensen just had one good day in vikersund...

  • @Devilfish6666 Schlieri got insanely much better power and technigue. Evensen is truly the best at flying..

Scleri won more because of his technige, his stability, power and his skill to fly. BUT Evensen is just a litlle bit better in the end..

  • @Devilfish6666 Also, when he jumped 246 he stopped at 225, and just safed it.

  • @mybox1991 the first guy falls on the hill called 'Planica' which currently is 10 metres smaller than the Vikersund. So it's like the second guy(Johan Evensen) jumped 236.5m in Planica. I'm sure he wouldn't stood up 240m in Planica. Yes 246.5m is the world record, but I just wanted to explain you why Ahonen falled and why Evensen stood up. THEY WERE JUMPING ON DIFFERENT HILLS

  • @MineVector ...right, and Ahonen would have flown about 250 Metres there in Vikersund. That would be a crazy jump to watch!

  • the first guy falls when he lands 140 m but the world record 146,5 m and he lands

  • only Janne Ahonen jumps over 240 meters on Planica....He's the real HERO...

  • takie skoki to można oglądać :D, Przyjemność dla oka, jak skoczek tam odlatuje daleko poza HS

  • a przeciez world record wynosi 246,5 chyba bo w opisie i wfilmie jest 243 i wr

  • thats enogh to make terminal velocity

  • Cool video man!

  • Gdyby takim ujęciem Jak Skok Martina Kocha pokazali Skok Evensena :D Pięknie pokazuje cały lot skoczka....

  • @MrKibic1906

    Tak mógłbym oglądać skoki...

Przynajmniej widać na jakiej wysokości znajduje się skoczek :)

  • @MrKibic1906 yes i understand.....

  • Planica has indeed something that Vikersund doesn't have.

It's a more dangerous ski flying hill!

Vikersund is a modern construction, where you can fly further than in Planica and more safely at the same time!

Planica is more dangerous for the jumpers, therefore maybe more thrilling for the audience.

  • @ItachiGT Its definitely better to watch in Planica. The magic moments of it and flights and yes, it is dangerous and it brings up more adrenaline to the audience and skijumpers ;)

  • Planica is better , it just has something that vikersund doesnt :)

  • @AMniBBe but i know a thing Vikersund got and not planica. the world record! ;)

  • @halla369 True that ;) But still in my opinion Planica has better atmosphere.:)

  • @AMniBBe have you been in Vikersund? it is awsome! i have not been to planitca thouge so i can't say it one is better than the other

  • @AMniBBe then we can agree to disagree! also i think this is my first discutin on youtube where no one has acted like an ass ;)

  • @halla369 Haha :D

  • Fajny film ... i mam pytanie -skąd wziąłeś skok Kocha bo ja nigdzie nie mogę znaleźć . Pomóż ,proszę !

  • Super video super video super letalci super letalci :-DDDD
