  • I've used the rubber from a Renault Twingo readily available in France where I live now. Car was 3-4 yaers old, weatherstripping was almost new, it clamps instead of being glued, it looks and fit perfect.

Acura Integra might have what you are looking for. Best bet would be to go to some junkyards and look for a good set. Just check the lenght you need. weatherstrpping could have 1 90° bend or be straight to fit S30. Good luck!

  • Nice exhaust note. Do you think the triples with the mild cam give you more power than stock? I notice your passenger side door seems to fit as roughly as mine does! Do you have to slam it fairly hard to get it to close?

  • Regarding the webers, I have no idea I've never own the car with the original engine. Car is pushing quite hard, power is obviously higher than stock.

Regarding the door, it is good observation; car has been keyed and fixed by a reputable body shop which straighten everything. In top of that, I've replace the weatherstriping with smaller one that makes the doors to close very smoothly now.

Engine noise is rough, carbs were out of tune at the video time (1 year ago)

  • Which weather stripping did you use? I need to do that eventually, and any tips would be appreciated!

  • I have used Renault Twingo weatherstripping, French car readily available everywhere in France where I live now. Car was 3-4 years old, weatherstripping is brand new.

I've heard Acura Integra's weatherstriping works if you are in the US. Check the lengh you need, you can either find a set with no bends (as I did) or with one bend.

  • I'm not sure to understand your comment.

I don't know where to find a DOHC head, I did not know this company before you've mentionned it.

  • Fucking fan boy.... Less manga more reality.

  • Yeah it's called a stock bumper found on all Z's from that era.

The DOHC head is about as rare as can be. I think there's maybe one in the USA.

  • The exhaust system is an MSA 6-2-1 coated header and 2.5" MSA exhaust.

  • niiiice Z! what kinda exhaust setup do u have??
