Only I'm pretty sure the second line should read "...melody that's sweetly played in tune."` I would love to shake the hand of the guy that put this together. Looks like a genius to me.
You are of course correct 'played in tune' is how I remember the poem. I'm no genius...you make me blush! I too find the great war very sad...have a look at 'STAN MA GRUND' by johncomms. Thanks.
At 1:06... This isn't german cavalry? Look closer to the helmets... I can be wrong, but I think I have see that like : "German cavalry" on a film about the start of WW1...
please.... that phrase means nothing. Word for word sure it says "Scotland the Brave" but gaelic wasn't phrased as an english sentence would be and this phrase is only famous because of that incredibly stupid, incorrect film braveheart. Additionally Gaelic was not spoken at that time anyway.
